- The person who made the crucial call had spotted Flynne scavenging on his property, and knew who he was due to the amount of publicity which included local papers and radio.

- So glad to hear the brilliant and remarkable news that Flynne has been reunited with his owner and is back home safe and well.
I was just going to leave a message of a sighting of Flynne which was on Thursday 24th February at around 1.00am - he was trotting down the Corus steelworks No1 entrance and heading off up the main road towards the silver fox. But at the time I didn't know he was lost.
I have been watching out for him ever since and now I'm happy he is back home - it's great news. - 2011-03-03 21:25 Owl
- There is a message on my voicemail from Flynne's owner saying he is home, someone made a call in response to a poster. I hope to speak to owner to find out a bit more.

- I have been getting further details from owner, who has informed all the appropriate people and will be postering far and wide. Flynn has good recall to whistle, he is a steady 10 yr old and would not have taken off and not come back. The area of the bypass has been thoroughly searched. Highways do not have any record of a dog being found. What happened was that owner was going up a bank with his 3 dogs, he saw that one had gone lame and he stopped to put her on lead. While he was doing this Flynn who had been following behind suddenly vanished. It seems very likely that he was picked up by someone. Flynn is a much loved family pet, he is not a working lurcher.
