- Thankyou everyone - he`s back!!! Located by a Jack Russell underneath a barn, and found skinny, lame and filthy when the floor was pulled up. I`ll never let him out of my sight again!
Many, many thanks to everyone for your help and prayers. Corinne xx - 2011-02-27 13:38 jacks247
- have you had any sightings at all? Have you tried all the vets in the area in case they have taken him in or know who has? x

- Thanks everybody for your support. I am trying all the things you suggest, and it has even been suggested to me that I contact my local bloodhound pack, as they might help search. However, I am certain that Caro is no longer close to where he went missing, so I am hoping that he has been picked up by someone, and is not lying injured somewhere. I feel that it is now a case of hoping that if someone has him, all this publicity will bear fruit and they will hand him in.
Although he was wearing a collar and tag when he was lost, it is always possibly that if the collar got caught on wire or something, that he might have squirmed his narrow head out of it. He is not microchipped. During the last two days, I or some other members of my family with our other dogs, has been searching and calling in the vicinity every hour of the day and night (I drew the night shifts of course). Thosa of you who are familiar with Iggys will know that they are not hardy, resourceful dogs, and the weather has been cold, wet and foggy since he went - I can`t eat or sleep for thinking of him frozen, terrified and abandoned.
Thank you all so much for your thoughts, Corinne - 2011-02-25 16:17 dekkaann
- Have advised owner to check barbed wire fences
as the dogs coat could have become caught up, my Whippet was trapped by her coat years ago.
It will mean lots of footwork, an obedient dog off lead could sniff him out quicker if he is trapped. Good luck. - 2011-02-25 13:03 Shereen
- I have emailed scenting advice.

- I will email Caro's poster to everyone that i know in the area. My Mum is currently taking one of her dogs to Battle Dog Training School who runs classes out of the village hall in Battle during the week so i'll get her to take a poster when she next goes if he has not been found. My Dad travels to Battle most days too so will also make him aware. Which area of Battle did he go missing in? Hope that Caro turns up safe and well. Might be worth postering all the woods that attract dogwalkers ie Battle Great Wood and the ones in the Ninfield area to make the doggie people aware. Presumably he had a tag on so if someone does find him they know where to return him to. Unfortunately Rother DC doesn't have its own dog warden so are covered by the Animal Wardens 0845 241 7253 - they might be worth a call although last time i phoned them they were as useful as a chocolate teapot!Last edited: 2011-02-25 11:51:04 by Zoe - Area Volunteer - East Sussex

- I am in St. Leonards, near top end of Battle rd. I used to have whippets and love italian greyhounds..... I will do all I can to help, these dogs are too sensitive to cope with being lost. I regularly walk my dogs in the area and Fairlight, Battle Woods etc. so will spread the word. I will also post to my facebook page, I have so many doggy friends in the area who will help. Good Luck x
