- Hi , I've spoken to the lady who saw this poor dog on the beach , she said it was an adult dog but she is not sure what sex . there was another lady standing over it on her mobile ( said she was reporting it ) I called streetscene who said dead dogs should be taken to the dogs home to check for a microchip. So I called the dog warden who said they didn't know anything about it . They said to try the Wirral ranger from the Wirral way where it was found but I kept getting a answer phone. If it has not been taken to the dogs home as it should of then it may not have been scanned either , why can't people follow procedures !! I will try the ranger again tomorrow to where this dog has ended up . My friend said she will look out for the lady who was (apparently) reporting it and ask who she reported it to . What a nightmare with have the same situation with missing smith , he may have been run over as a body was seen but it seems to have dissapeared into thin air too so we are still none the wiser . Do you know if Cody or bouncer went missing anywhere near to the shore ? I'll try and find out more but it's been 2 wks now so the body may of been disposed of ( how sad )

- Thanks wirral groomer for letting us know about this poor found Weimaraner.
I've spoken to Codi's owner tonight, Codi is still missing. I've let him know we will let him know more if anything is found out. Codi's is MICROCHIPPED so hope the found dog was checked for a Chip. Hope it is not Codi and he is still out there somewhere. Jan x - 2011-04-02 09:43 Goldenfrodo

- Hi I have just spoken to a friend who's daughter found a body of a wiemarana on thurstaston beach on the Wirral on Sunday , hopefully not Cody but might be worth a few calls to Wirral dog warden or Wirral street wise to see where this dog was taken , a lady on the beach said she had already reported it . This poor dog may have come from anywhere so may be one that's on here :-( jan if this can be reposted to any one who's dog it could be , not good news but it might give some poor owner closure , sorry I don't know any more if ind been told sooner ind of checked it out myself .

- Sorry to see that CODY is missing.
- If your dog is microchipped please let the microchip company know that your dog is missing and check that all details are up to date.
- Owners targeted by a malicious hoaxer demanding money for the return of their dog should phone the police on 101 immediately and contact admin@doglost.co.uk
- A photograph of your dog is essential for the website. If you have not already uploaded one, please do so by clicking on Update details. Alternatively you can email it to admin@doglost.co.uk quoting the dog's DogLost ID number: (28254)

- Contact dog wardens, vets and local rescue centres, and in Scotland, the Police. Give a detailed description with any distinguishing marks/scars or send them a copy of your DogLost poster. You can find vets in your area here.

- If your dog is picked up and taken to rescue kennels, it can be legally re-homed after seven days. Visit rescue centres in person and do not rely on checking by phone alone. Other people may not recognise your dog by your description, so give them a DogLost poster.
