- No news yet on Sceolán? You need to keep going to the dogs home every few days-it's a long trek but still the best bet. And poster in Birchfields park, Platt Fields and all around up and down Stockport Road too...- some one has to have him. Fingers crossed for his safe return.

Animal Wardens website - Male Black and tan german shepherd found yesterday in Manchester M24 area, it says black and tan but it may be worth a look by the owners.
I do wish AW put photos on their website, or at least a better description. I suppose we should be thankful they list them at all. - 2011-03-08 23:04 doggo
- Have you put an ad in the Evening News? Lost&Found ads are free and stay in for 4 days.Phone the Evening News and Reporter(both of them) to get a story & photo in the papers.Your angle on the story could be something along the lines of 'Have you seen Our Hound?' playing on Sceolán's name and how he escaped at dead of night.Local radio is another angle. There's a radio show running now as part of Manchester Irish Festival- (lots of people in Fallowfield involved in that).Put an ad on Manchester Gumtree too with a photo-in both the pets section & 'LostFound'- the more exposure the better.Hope he's home very soon.

- Where have you postered? Have you put posters up in Sainsbury's in Fallowfield, a lot of people shop there. What about putting a poster up outside the post depot? Put one outside the staff door so that all the posties see it - they might notice if someone has Sceolan in their garden, and one outside the public door for the public to see - that depot is nearly always busy. Have you put posters up in Platt Fields park? I hope you find him soon xx

- Thanks doggo your help is greatly appreciated.
Not long finished speaking to his owner, there have been no reported sightings of Sceolan. Owner has contacted Manchester Dog's Home, I've advised they actually call in and check. Given advice of things to do but will email more indepth advice and places to contact. Posters have been getting put up, he may have been picked up and not reported to the DW, finder may not know who to report him to or be waiting until after the weekend. Posters and spreading the word are the key to getting him back. Jan x

- Any news of Sceolán? I suggest asking in the pubs along Stockport Rd/putting posters up in there and in Asda/Lidl/corner shops/newsagents et al,someone will have seen him somewhere on his travels or taken him in. Assume you've been to the dogs home/dog wardens et al.I'll keep an eye out in CHorlton but he probably hasn't got this far if he's sociable. Might be a bitch on heat somehere close by. Ask the children around the place: they alsways know what's going on and are more likely to notice a dog than many adults.Fingers crossed for your Hound of Fionn Mc Cool...
