Glad Beans is back with you Reece, but I would like to point out that you were EXTREMELY lucky to get him back, despite the fact that many people were looking for him, because a huge number of dogs are never found again after an owner has left their dog tied outside somewhere. Dog theiving is a huge crime nowadays - so PLEASE - never leave your dog tied up unattended anywhere. You just need to look at the huge amount of dogs on this site which are still missing to know this is true.If dogs are not permitted in the places you are going to, it is best to leave your dog at home. It is safest.Last edited: 2011-03-08 10:58:33 by Sable - Regional Co-ordinator - Scotland

Fantastic news. Welcome home Beans xx
Reece
Thanks to everyone for your help! Terrifically happy to have him back home now and he's delighted to be here. With the number of people who were keeping an eye out I was sure we'd find him eventually!

So pleased lovely Beans has been found - this has made my day ! It never ceases to amaze me to see dogs tied up outside shops, and, like you, littlehelper, people look at me as if I am a crazy woman. Anyway, welcome home gorgeous Beans. Stay safe now xx

Today while out shopping in Beeston Nott's I told 5 different people off about leaving their dog's tied up while they went into shops. they looked at me like I was mad

Glad Beans is safe and well and soon to be reunited with owner! :)
was that Roxy the GSD puppy? If so, I remember the owner appealing on a forum I was a moderator of at the time, I advised her to get straight onto DOGLOST......the rest is history and she was found! :)

Re union will take place at 7.30 this evening....owner and finder meeting at shopping centre...and yes he is never going to leave his dog tied up outside a shop again.....Thank you to finders for looking after Beans! Also on talking to finder...his wife's sister who checked doglost had a stolen puppy 4 years ago that was featured along with us on the Paul O'Grady show....after appearing on show we had a "tip off" of where she was...and Roxy was recovered! Along with all 11 dogs featured! I will always remember that evening.....so many calls in to HQ...so many results.....Thanks for remembering us and helping another dog get home!

Pleased owner has rung....awaiting contact from dogwarden...Beans is very happy in his temporary home playing with the couples dogs....so not technically re-united as yet but definately located!

Just spoken to finders who found Beans on doglost. The couple did not actually speak to the dog warden but to someone in the council. They did stay in the area and were asking around as were concerned that the dog appeared cold and a little dispondent. Have left a message for owner to ring doglost.

Hopefully they did have good intentions and he will be dropped off tomorrow - strange they didn't leave him where he was though. All the best for good news soon Liz xx and labs

Spoken to owner....They were inside coffee shop ( dog was not allowed in ) When they phoned the out of hours dog warden the warden said he had received a call earlier from a couple from Essex he told them to leave the dog where it was but they decided to take him saying they would drop him off at Battersea after they had been to a show...?
