Sad to report that Danny died on 11 September 2015 after a short illness. Gone too soon. My heart is breaking. Coco and I are going to miss you, Dan.

I came across this post tonight. I adopted a dog from SSPCA in Cardonald in May 2009 and I think it is this dog. They told me that he'd been picked up as a stray in March 2009. Apparently his owners had contacted the SSPCA and said that his original name was Pinball, but when told they'd have to pay a fee to get him back, decided not to bother. I've had "Danny" now for 5 years and would never part with him, but I thought his original owners might like to know that he is safe and happy. He loves tea and sleeping under the duvet and barks at puddles. He freaks out every time he farts and has to leave the room (even though I have no sense of smell and never scold him for it). Looking at your photo of him, I can see that he needs to go on a diet. He loves his food and treats - especially dentasticks and rawhide bones. It's interesting that he's actually only 8 now. SSPCA told me he was aged between 6 and 7 years when I adopted him, so I thought he was now 11. Not that he seems like an old dog - he's full of energy and loves to run.
