It's tragic isn't it - if only I could win the lottery I would get myself a great huge Rescue and try to save them all ! Still couldn't do it - and we call ourselves a nation of animal lovers !

THANKS KAREN FOR LETTING ME KNOW-I HAVE BEEN THINKING OF THEM. TROUBLE IS THERES SO MANY OF THEM IN THE SAME POSITION. ITS SO SAD THAT MANY DONT KNOW WHAT A LOVING HOME IS ALL ABOUT.

hi have you tried hope rescue-they take dogs from pounds and then find rescue places-perhaps they could help. they have a website.

HI ALL, I WILL BE AT THE POUND TOMORROW.IT'S SO DIFFICULT GETTING A RESCUE SPACE AND WEEKENDS ARE SO BUSY FOR THE RESCUE CENTRES I CAN'T ALWAYS GET THROUGH.

did you have any luck with fostering devlin/astra yourself. as i put down rochdale dog rescue use quite a few rescues to take pound dogs-maybe one of those would help.

hi, i notice rochdale dog rescue who take dogs from the pound and advertise them on their site seem to get a respnse from a number of rescues all over the place. have a look on their site-rochdale dog rescue-perhaps one of them would take devlin and astra.

NORMALLY A DOG WOULD NEED TO HAVE A RESCUE TO OFFER BACK UP (VET,FOOD,HOMECHECKING ETC) TO YOU AS A FOSTER CARER. Lets chat 2mr afternoon.

Hi - no I haven't fostered before but I have done dog homeboarding. Can you tell me what I would need to do be able to foster him - and what about Astra ? I am happy for you to call me to discuss further if you want to or should I ring you ?

Hi all, no rescue space for Astra or Devlin. karen have you fostered before? If we can get a rescue to oversea his fostering with you and his eventual rehoming your offer would be great. He will need to be assessed, vaxed, neutered. I don't know what to do to help him and Astra as they are now over their seven days.

GOOD HOPE YOU WILL BE LUCKY. THE OWNER DOES SOMETIMES TAKE STAFFIES USUALLY FROM THE LOCAL POUND BUT ANYTHING IS WORTH A TRY. SHE MAY BE ABLE TO SUGGEST ANOTHER RESCUE IF SHE CANT HELP. IF SHE SAW THEIR PICTURES SHE WOULD SEE HOW GORGEOUS THEY ARE.THEY JUST HAVE A BAD NAME CAUSED BY BAD OWNERS.

have you tried many tears animal rescue. they do take some staffies. look up their site-many tears animal rescue-it gives their telephone no. you may be lucky-worth a try.

I HAVE HAD NO LUCK FINDING DEVLIN AND ASTRA RESCUE SPACE. I SAW THEM TODAY AND IT'S HEARTBREAKING TO KNOW THAT THEY CAN NOW BE LAGALLY KILLED DESPITE BEING PERFECTLY HEALTHY. RESCUE SPACE DESPERATELY NEEDED ASAP.

UNBELEIVABLY THIS DOG'S OWNER HAS COME FORWARD!!! BUT HE COULDN'T UNDERSTAND WHY HE HAD TO PAY THE RECLAIMING FEE AND KENNEL COSTS. HE LEFT THE POUND SAYING HE WOULD GET THE CASH AND NEVER RETURNED.MAYBE HE THOUGHT "IT'S CHEAPER TO BUY A NEW ONE". SO THIS LITTLE DOG HAS A VERY UNCERTAIN FUTURE. RESCUE SPACE NEEDED PLEASE.

Thank you for taking the time to list this found dog and ensuring the safety of the dog.
Please ensure that you notify your local Dog Warden and the local Police Station - in Scotland you MUST inform your local Police Station and if possible contact the Dog Warden also.
The found dog may have a Microchip or a Tattoo - please have the dog scanned and checked for a tattoo at a vet's so that owners may be contacted as soon as possible.
Please check on our Missing pages in case the Found dog has been registered as missing with us.
If possible please add a photo as this greatly assists our work in matching Found dogs with Missing dogs.
