Jodie and Ouzo, sometimes when a dog has been missing a long time the owners do not check the site very often, it would be better if you could possibly ring them with the information otherwise they may miss the opportunity because they haven't checked on site lately. Right! After some faffing, i've created a poster for Jasper, Roxy and Libby (easier than displaying 3). I've singled these dogs out because they are either a) recently missing or b) very local to me. Amendments can easily be made so let me know if anything is amiss. Abbie Poster: http://www.zen30427.zen.co.uk/doglost.jpg Note - poster is quite large so may look a little untidy via a browser, but will look fine when scaled and printed to A4 (or whatever).Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

I know you've probably done this but did you ask for an official complaint form to complain about the police handling of this. I still carry Jaspers poster around with me when I go out in case I see a young staffy.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Did the anonymous caller say what the dog she saw was being called instead of Jasper? Presumably if he was passed on as a "legitimate" dog, the thief used that name when he was sold... Jasper may well therefore still have that false name... and someone might notice a dog with that name appearing in their area? Just a thought, a long one I know. Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

No more news on Jasper. The POLICE have been useless. But alot of people are looking out for him and we can only hope that we have another sighting soon. The last one we checked out and he was not at their address perhaps he had been sold on again. Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

We at the HQ have just received an anonymous phone call due to one of our automatic mailing posters that were sent out on the 25th March. The caller thinks Jasper has appeared in their area last week-not to far away either-she was made aware of the dog by the fact it did not respond to his name-then saw one of our posters and phoned us-watch this space and fingers crossed!Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Well guys, seeings as the police are so BLOODY INCOMPETENT and those of you who know me know about the run ins I've had with them trying to find my dog (Lab Retriever 4.03.05), what about strength in numbers? Storm the scum bag travellers with as many people as possible (peacefully of course), and check out every dog that we come across. What they gonna do, beat us all up? Never been the vigilante type before (being all of 4 foot 11!), but what gives these parasites the right to walk all over normal decent folks and be above the law? I think its time for a revolution!!! Caroline (bit wound up right now after reading about the poor old lady and lovely Jasper) xxLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Too true, I had a run in with a gypsy myself. He was beeting a horse cause it wouldnt puul its cart down a road full of busy traffic. The poor thing was terrified. Everyone was stood watching and nobody dared say anything but me. He did threaten me which I did expect. Believe it or not all this happened right outside the local police station.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Unfortunatly Sharon the police will always be afraid of them because they are above the law, which is just stupid because we pay our taxes to be protected against these people. That is so sad about the Staffy, has the car been recovered, please tell them not to touch the car when it is recovered and get the forensic people there straight away! when Jake was stolen no one told us about not touching the car because of finger prints so we will never know who stole Jake but if they had then we might of have him back buy now! Absolutly rediculous!Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

I just heared a story that as really bothered me. This as happened localy think in the last few days. An elderly couple who have a little bit of land with an old horse no use to anyone its just been in family for along time. They were visited by a gypsie who wanted to buy their horse the old woman who is about 80 explained the horse was of no use and not for sale. The gypsie left being very rude and foul mouthed. Later on they were burgled their car pinched and also their pet Staffy. They went straight to the police with their story the police said this doesnt meen it was the gypsies who robbed them. The old lady is terrified to try get her dog back. THe person who told me this I have given them details of this site to pass on to the poor old couple. Weather they will take my advice or not I dont know. They should not have to use their own means to get back what is theirs when the police KNOW who is responsible. When will the police stop being scared of these bloody gypsies.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

I am so sorry to hear you are having such problems with the police. As you know the pup is up for sale, can you not call them and arrange to meet them, and buy her back? I can't believe that the police are being so unhelpful! I really wish you the best of luck and expect to see Jasper in the blue section very soon! Fingers and Toes crossed. (please see Jake - 21/1/05) Sarah Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

If they have the dog for sale cant you get someone to go along and buy it off them. I hope it all turns out for you anyway. Police bloody useless.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Jasper was stolen by a couple of drug addicts, well known in the area. They then tried to sell him to a man who's more then willing to go to the POLICE and help them with their enquries, but the POLICE just don't want to know. The POLICE say because jasper was never actually seen they can't do anything. What a coincidence then, that their was a pedegree, staffordshire bull terrier, 5mths old, brindle and white but without papers for sale. What more do they need?????? i even caught one of the thieves and took him to the police station but the police released him a couple of hours later. Tomorrow i shall try and get the other man to them Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

PC Shrepel is more South East i think but he may worth calling and he might be able to give you a contact name for your area? Not Sure! When i was driving around a local estate close to me, all the people walking around were walking there staffs! I think the reason people like them so much is because they look hard i guess! I hope Jasper is home soon! Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Hi, i am going to devon soon for a couple days, i will look out for your Jasper. He looks a real playful one. My staffy came home last week after 6weeks away, turned out the gypsies took him and the dog warden picked him up in the next county and traced him to me via his microchip, so when you do get him home, please do me a favour, get him chipped. All my thoughts are with you, take care. COME HOME JASPER!!!!!!Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
