What a tragic outcome -Poor Scruff- I was really worried about the railyway lines. This is very sad news.

Unfortunately Scruff's body was found by the railway line at Aldermaston. Someone had seen a poster and co-incidentally his dad is a train driver. His dad had seen a body, matching Scruff's description, 3 days ago so he called, for which i am grateful. Thanks for everybody's concern and help. We'll be picking him up and burying him tomorrow

So sorry to see Scruff is missing, I hope he comes home soon. I know exactly what your going through right now as my Border Terrier Cross is also missing at the moment. Any chance the Border Terrier Cross picked up by the Basingstoke dogwarden could be my Oscar 27306, I know it's a long shot but we believe Oscar could be anywhere by now!

Drove along the A4 but didn't see Scruff also didn't see any Posters. There are roadworks along the A4 with temporary trafffic lights Nr Padworth so I think it would be a good idea to put some Posters up around there as we spent ages in a traffic queue and that way you have a captive audience!! Handed in a Poster to the Pet Shop at the garden centre in Thatcham but wasn't able to get to Spire Ridge In Midgham. Have there been any sighting of Scruff? Almost forgot to mention - when I handed in Posters at Valley Vets they knew about Scruff and his details are on the computer which is good but now they have Posters so hopefully someone will spot him - fingers crossed.Last edited: 2011-03-24 16:34:46 by LYDNSYD

I've put some Posters up in Sulham Woods and tomorrow I have to drive along the A4 to Thatcham so will look out for Scruff. I will hand in a Poster at Spire Ridge Pet Shop in Midgham and also the Pet shop by the Garden Centre in Thatcham.
I also have to take my dog to the Vet - Valley Vets so can also leave them a Poster. I know it isn't a nice thing to think about but have you checked with Network Rail as the Line isn't that far away and also the Highway Agency. Terrier's are a very Resilient Breed so I'm sure Scruff will be home soon.

I was so hoping this would be Scruff. I live in Pangbourne can do some postering for you if needed. I've sent you a text. Could you let us know roughly where you have postered and has there been any sightings etc. Would he know how to get back to his home in Padworth. Just incase he does try to get home make sure you leave a gate open for him. Hopefully you will already have been sent and advice sheet and scenting info but POSTER POSTER POSTER as this is essential - make sure you cover a wide area. Fingers crossed he is home with you soon.
