- Fantastic news!!! Welcome home little (big) boy! Well, this proves microchips are the way to go! Seems like someone's been hanging onto him, and poor baby with bites on his face. So glad he got away from this person/people as doesn't sound like nice people to me. Welcome home precious. x

- Cy was picked up as a stray with a German shepherd, who may be still looking for it's owner. New photos of Cy above and with his new playmate.. He was re-united with his owner due to his micro-chip.Last edited: 2011-07-15 13:34:09 by Sable - Regional Co-ordinator - Scotland

- Chuffed to bits for John that Cy has been found. I spoke to him this morning and he said that Cy is mahooosive compared to when he lost him. Cy was found through his microchip as the SSPCA contacted him ysterday - he is underweight and had bites to his face but seems to be settling in with his rottie. Stay safe young man, so happy you are safe now.

- Had a message from Cy's owner to day he was found yesterday in Glasgow. he was wearing a different collar, a bit thinner and had some scars on his face, but apart from that he seems ok. Will update details as soon as I have them.

- Cy was never found and reported sigtings were followed up but it wasn't him. It's a mystery as to where he is but maybe one day he will be found through his microchip. The owner has never given up hope but now has an 8 week old rottie pup to distract him.

- Advertised in the local paper today, the Falkirk Herald, keeping all my fingers and toes crossed that it brings some news for the owner.

- Thanks Lisa. There is no further news of Cy meantime according to his owner.

- I spent a couple of hours in Limerigg the other night since John said that the last reported sighting of Cy was there on Friday. I met with a few other dog walkers and passed the word around about Cy. No one knew anything of him which is a shame since I think there are a lot of dog owners in Limerigg and its a wee community so would be good to get the word out there so if he is spotted then he'll be reported.
One thing that worries me is that its lambing season just now and the area that Cy went missing from is surrounded by farms/fields. I know John has been in contact with some of the local farmers and has said that if they do see or shoot Cy then he'd like to know either way.
Can't get back up till the weekend but have printed of some posters and will distribute them. - 2011-03-30 08:33 Sable - Regional Co-ordinator - Scotland
- Thanks Anji and Lisa. The usual scenarios are that if there are no sightings at all, someone has picked up the dog or something tragic has happened to it. Wherever he is, I hope he is safe.

- I have been driving around shouting on my way home from work the past two nights and still no sightings!
My retired parents who walk their dogs around the village tell me that talk is that someone within the village had picked him up when he first went missing. They can't keep him as everyone would recognise him so i can only assume it would be to sell him on - god forbid! I don't know how much truth there is in this but there is something odd as there has not been one sighting.
I am still keeping my fingers crossed.
How did you get on Lisa? - 2011-03-29 15:55 Lisa1981
- Have been in contact with John who I believe is dogs owner and Cy is still missing. I'm just heading out just now to look around with my own 2 dogs. Will print of posters tomorrow at work although I know John has already been postering. Fingers crossed this boy shows up soon.

- Just spent almost two hours driving and walking around the area. It's hard to fathom but in every direction out of the village there are miles of farmland and woods, it's like looking for a needle in a haystack!
I spoke to farmers, cyclists, walkers - anyone i passed and not one sighting. Fingers crossed someone has taken him in for the weekend and he will turn up at a vet or the dog warden tomorrow.
I am going to try again early evening but it is proving an ipossible task without any clues as to where to start. - 2011-03-27 12:02 Sable - Regional Co-ordinator - Scotland
- Thanks Anji and Lisa. Agreed it is worrying that there have been no sightings at all.

- Hi Lisa
Thanks for the offer of help. I am heading out again about lunchtime to have another look, there is such a large area to cover and as you are probably aware all farmland so i have been driving to various spots and walking about calling him.
There are no reported sightings of him whatsoever, which is worrying.

- Any sightings of this boy? I'm nearby and could come and search with my own dogs if that would help.
- 2011-03-26 11:38 Anji
- Hi Jayne
There is a photo available when he was a bit younger, which was added to his poster - don't know how to add it here but Sable does have a copy.
Been out this morning and still no sign of this lad, seems to have vanished off the face of the earth, just hope he is safe somewhere. - 2011-03-26 11:15 Jayne - Founder Doglost.
- Any photo yet?

- This dog slipped it's collar outside the Post Office in the Slamannan area of Falkirk and was last seen running into the village housing scheme yesterday. He is dark brindle with lighter stripes down his back. I will try and get a picture of the owner but he is out looking for him just now.
Thanks in advance for any help.
