- Driftdog - I agreed with all you say below! I can assure you that this is not the worst that happens either.

- Why on earth did the police allow anyone other than the owner or SSPCA to take this dog? If I handed in a mobile phone or sum of money that I had found I'm damn sure they would not let me take that back out until the owner was found. The Police should be forced to take stray dogs more seriously, they are making a mockery of the system in the hope that dealing with stray dogs will be taken away from them!!

- Good news that this lovely old boy is home now. Whiskey had actually been taken to the police station by a family who found him. After leaving him there for a while, they went back and said they would take him home until the owner turned up. Police never informed owners who hads been calling them every day. Whiskey was actually chipped but there was confusion about this, but eventually it was sorted out and Whiskey was re-united with his owners.Last edited: 2011-04-05 08:56:58 by Sable - Regional Co-ordinator - Scotland

- Whiskey is 9 yrs old and ran off after a fright with a firework. Have sent his poster to Scottish rescues. It is most unlike him not to return home. Hope he is safe somewhere.
