- In fairness to the vets involved here ,they had asked the owners if it was ok for these people, the finders, to have the owner's contact number. Owners wanted the finders to call & arrange a time & place to be able to have their dog returned to them as the vet surgery was closing before they were able to get down there.

- After quite a few, number witheld, calls from finder to Gaeltee's owners these people eventually & finally told owners that Gaeltee would be taken to Dogs Trust where the owners will be able to collect him tomorrow.

- Blimey, this defies belief......hope the vet got details of the finders to pass on to the rightful owners?

- Does this mean the Vet gave these people the address or telephone number of Gaeltee owners?
Would that not mean this Vet has broken the Data Protection Act? as I thought professional people were not allowed to give out names or addresses but then how stupid to let Gaeltee go anyway.

- Why on earth did the vet not keep this dog until the owner arrived? This is now theft by finding...Posters will bring him home hopefully.

- Have spoken to Gaeltee's owner. Gaeltee has been picked up by a couple who have taken him in for nearly a week but took him to a vet,in Wembley, today who scanned him & contacted owners. The couple didn't want to leave Gaeltee at the vets & said they would ring the owner themselves. Gaeltee's owner will be in touch with the vet again & is waiting for this couple to contact them.
