- Thank you all so much for still looking for Teddy. When I first saw this pic of a Mal found in Poole, it looked so like Teddy my heart stopped for a split second! It's been almost 5 years since Teddy was lost and this one looks so like Teddy that I now have to compare pics I have of him to tell the difference. Teddy was not chipped. Mobile number still the same an I am on FB.

- Confirmed by the Poole dog warden not to be Teddy sadly. The found dog is chipped with the name Kita, though contact details are out of date. He is said to be a very large Malamute

- Thank you for this, good to know I'm not on my own. It's not Teddy. His nose is too long and his ears are too big. Also, Teddy didn't have the black smudge above his nose. Teddy has a very definite thick, black line around the insides of his ears, almost as though someone had gone round his ears with a black marker! They all look so similar don't they? Teddy's Mum x

- Hi Teddys mum, sorry to hear he is still missing. Dont give up hope, dogs are often found/returned after some time. I am still keeping an eye out for him at the RSPCA in Godstone and on my travels around Kent. Sorry if you have already done the following, just some suggestions, have you contacted as many wardens, rescues and local papers? try the travellers sites and local radio, carry on with as many posters as you can, the Husky rescue centres and google searches, best of luck and hopefully he will be home soon. My boy was stolen from my garden over the easter period and he's back home now. Warm thoughts are with you x

- He is so similar to Teddy, but it isn’t him. They do look mostly the same don’t they? The white arches over Teddy’s eyes don’t seem to be tall enough somehow (my husband calls them the ‘MacDonald’s M’), also, the black on Teddy’s nose was fading. As I said, it almost is, but it isn’t!
Thank you so much for still looking, we are too, plus I’m still getting the odd phone call from the posters that I’ve put up all around. People keep taking them down, but I just put them up again!

- Hi Teddy's mum, I am a field based business adviser in Kent and will keep an eye out for him. I also volunteer at RSPCA Godstone and will look out for him there too. Have you tried all of the shelters and wardens in Kent and Sussex? If you want help with postering will be happy to. Keep going and keep hoping. I got my benson back after he was taken from my garden. People do get reunited with their dogs but it can take time. I will contact local vets in Sussex as you never know where he might turn up. Good luck and warm wishes

- Teddy's Mum, many dogs are reunited safely, even after many weeks, so you can get Teddy home and hopefully a lot quicker than that. Just keep working on this, keep postering; you can do this. He is too noticeable a dog for anyone to miss, if something had happened I'm sure you would have heard so he's probably safe and trying to get home or waiting for you to find him. You are doing well, keep going. Kim x

- Hi sorry not posted for a while, im sorry to hear about your father in law my wishes go to u and ur family. Must be such a hard time for the family. I do no know Teddy but his breed normally is not a one man dog, which normally once off the lead will run and run. Can i ask if he has ever gone off before then and found his way home, only u seem so sure he wld of. I urge u not to give up witht he scent and to keep putting things like hoover bag contents out around where he was lost etc. A dog smell is the only way of returning they vary rare have memorey of building etc. Are you on fb, only there are hundreds of rescues on fb. if u feel strongly he is not in the area this is a good way of getting his details out very quick, as most ppl on these sites will share and then there friends so it cld be in scotland by few mins. So wat im saying this could be a good route. I am still looking around when driving the area and suroundings. You must remember thou Teddy will now be almost like ferral, which means he prob wont show himslef much during the day, he will catch things like field mice etc to eat and drink from streams. We have had so many dogs who go off for a yr or more and return home. Have you phoned any rescues and pounds recently just to give them a reminder, also ring round vets ask if they have anyone reguster a dog like teddy. Most importantly dont give up, he is somewhere xx

- Sorry haven't commented before. Lost both Teddy and my father-in-law within 24 hours and have been away for a few days for his funeral. Am really touched with all the trouble you have gone to in helping me look for Teddy. I am quite sure that Teddy is no longer in the area. There have been no more sightings of him and it is now more than 3 weeks since he went missing. If he was still in the area he would have come home by now if he could. Thank you all for giving your time so generously, I have been overwhelmed by people's kindness and help and, if I ever get Teddy back, it will be because of all of you. I live in hope. Teddy's Mum x

- Hi well went out there yesterday, but think we must of missed the parking bit, but did go down church lane. went down a lane as well called Nicklywood road/lane. Had a wonder round..Drove round the area out as far as wood church bethersden. Went in a wood in both these areas. Put posters up along our journey as well. i did see posters up outside houses along church lane. x

- Name of woods is Orlestone Forest and is about 1½ miles from Shadoxhurst down Church Lane. There is a turning into the woods on both sides of the road which is wheere the dog walkers park their cars every day and there is a 'Missing' poster of Teddy on both sides. There were 2 sightings of Teddy here on 27th April which is the last day he was seen. If you are going down Church Lane from Shadoxhurst, once you have parked you car Teddy was seen on the walk on the left-hand side. Hope this helps. Teddy's Mum x

- Hi Teddy mum, have you got a few friends together and got a search going if you have count me in and i will come along. Tomorrow will take my dogs over to the woods and see and have alook round the woods as i do not know them very well. I know you have spoken to Dog lost and im sure they have given you excellent help as they always do and we are hear as well to keep your spirits alive... DO NOT LOOSE faith. As i said earlier there have been lots of dogs that have been missing for long periods and have been re-united months later, take a look on the re-united page to give you strength to believe in this there are some wonderful stories on there. Can you give me a list of vets or shops if u have contacted as i dont want to go bk through them if they already have details, have u put posters up like in pets at home or the kingsnorth vets. local schools are a good place as kids love dogs and a dog like Teddy cant be misses and most children love all dogs. i am going to text u my number that way if there is any help or sighting you can contact me straight away as not always on the internet 27/7. xx

- Teddy was last seen in Nickley Woods in Shadoxhurst where, unfortunately, the gypsies live which makes me feel that some of them have taken him. I have gone in there and knocked on doors and spoken to as many people that I could find. I have also put my posters in there and most people I spoke to recognised him as we had walked Teddy in the surrounding woods daily. I have had Channel 4 TV round from Cutting Edge and been filmed asking for Teddy's return, but it is not going to be aired until June. Still putting up posters wherever I go and getting friends to put Teddy on their fb. Having to go over the same ground continually as kids are tearing down Teddy's posters and I have to keep going around and replacing them. Everyone has been marvellous and it's you who are keeping my spirits up and my hopes alive. Bless you all. Love Teddy's Mum x

- sspoken to Teddys owners who have had no sightings since he went missing. She feels he has been taken and was told as much from another dog search site but i feel there is no evidence as yet as this is a very large dog ( 53 KG) that would not go with strangers.
I feel he could easily still be in the area of woods where he is missing. - 2011-04-09 01:26 shell

- Teddy's Mum, shell is right with her advice... lots of things we can get you doing with scents and plotting on maps if you haven't already. Dogs that are loose can lie low for a long time without being seen so don't panic yet that he's been caught and moved on. Give me a call on 07702 862937 and we can talk a few ideas through, or email me on denise.ford@blueyonder.co.uk xxx

- No sightings since Sunday 27th. Have been warned that he is probably being held somewhere making him harder to find and collar has been removed. Have continuously searched the area and knocked on doors. Again, have been warned he may now have been taken out of area as sightings of him have stopped. The house is empty without him. Thank you so much for caring. Teddy's Mum. x

- If your dog is microchipped please let the microchip company know that your dog is missing and check that all details are up to date.
