- hi i keep thinking about this dog i live close to these kennels in chingford they are very nice there i used to work there what is the name of the warden that is handling this case x
- 2011-04-13 20:16 barrybloodhound
- BE WARY OF JUST GETTING HIM INTO ANY RESCUE. Wood Green will kill him if he fails their temperamnet tests( I ALMOST SENT A STRAY THERE BUT PULLED OUT WHEN THEY TOLD ME THIS) as will alot of groups. Also be doubtfull about handing him back to old ownwers if they have given him away carelessly. After seven days they have no claim. Its a very tough world out there for the strays.I'm helping save poundies near me IN London and every rescue is so full. PLEASE DON'T BUY OR BREED WHILE OTHERS DIE. RESCUE A DOG INSTEAD.
- 2011-04-13 17:51 dewilliams42
- thanks for details. he seems small for a boxer mastiff cross. most boxers i've seen have been quite big. lets hope someone can help.
- 2011-04-13 17:38 CJ - Police Liaison & SE Regional Coordinator
- DETAILS I HAVE SO FAR. patch is 2 years old un neutered.boxer X mastiff. Kennels have not yet assessed with other dogs as they did not know vacination history so he has been now vacinated. I have askd when would he be able to mix with other dogs to see how reacts etc.
Dogwarden said he seemd a nice freindly dog.
He is on lists but the fosters i tried had no one free- another site thinks may be able to help and have possibilty of fosters in hand. but one is with a young child so i would prefere dog to be assesed a bit first. - 2011-04-13 17:18 dewilliams42
- could he be fostered somewhere until a rescue place became available? he's worrying me too so im praying many tears will help.
- 2011-04-13 17:15 Goldenfrodo
- Thanks CJ for getting the kennels to hold him for another 7 days.xx
I've been trying to phone Many Tears this afternoon and also Rescue Remedies. Emailed both of them.
Will keep trying as many Rescues as I can. This boy should be saved if its at all possible. He's giving me sleepless nights thinking about him - 2011-04-13 17:10 dewilliams42
- that gives you a breathing space then.hope they will contact you soon or otherwise ring in the morning. there are other dog rescues in wales-lizzies barn and hope rescue. shame the owner could'nt have him back-was he a friendly little dog? what was he crossed with?
- 2011-04-13 16:58 CJ - Police Liaison & SE Regional Coordinator
- been trying to get through to Many tears but line busy all afternnon. no calls after 4 so have sent an email asking to make contact.
patch is at kennels in chingford and just spoken to them to agree they will hold him for an extra 7 days once they get thew PTS notice. Doglost will fund this from emergencey funding and kennels have agreed to drop rtate to £8 a day for us to keep him alive longer. So he is safe for a while but still need to find him a permenat place. - 2011-04-13 16:33 Tigermouse
- Hope you don't mind me butting in on this as I'm too far away really to be of help, but have you tried Wood Green - both shelters? Sorry if it's already been though of but can't see it mentioned so thought it might be worth a try.

- Goldenfrodo is there any news on this dog has he been offered a rescue space or is he still in danger of being pts?
- 2011-04-07 19:32 Goldenfrodo
- This young boy is in the pound. He was picked up in Chingford. Chipped to an address in Kent. A letter has been sent to his home address but so far no reply.
He only has a few more days before he will be PTS.
He's friendly when he gets to know you. He's looking for a Rescue place or foster home.
I've put him on here in the hope that somebody can help him or his owner comes forward.
