What great news and just shows how doglost helpers network to help each other - that first call into HQ from a helper who was in the vets when the doctor brought Sparky in has proved once again that doglost and the posters really do work ~ well done to Darren for putting owners in touch with the doctor - Darren's dog OZZY is still missing so please keep your eyes peeled for him too ...

Have walked with my dogs, from Halfpenny Lane area, over Barrack's field, down Larkshill, Holgate Road, Ackworth road, to bottom of Castlesyke Hill, up footpath to Houndhill Lane, sorry didn't see anything, but spoke to a man who walks the area regularly ( seen nothing), and a lady who lives next to Wakefield Road, who walks every day around that area with her 2 dogs ( one was the puppy I found on Houndhill Lane last year! now grown up). Trouble is the crops, corn and oilseed rape are tall now, and Sparky could even be in there. Walked back up Wakefield Road, and through Barracks housing estate. Jytte

Lindsay, still might be a good idea to telephone GP surgeries, like we talked about. Didn't think hospital Drs did house calls ? Jytte

Hi, I've passed the info to a friend of mine who lives on westbourne. She has a dog who looks the same, and said she has seen a dog like this around larks hill school last week, and on the barracks field. She said she hasn't seen him though in the last couple of days, maybe it was the same dog. If not could possibly be the other missig dog? I really hope it is for you, dog lost helped me find my dog a few weeks ago, keep faith :) My friends going to get the word out to other dog lovers in the area she knows. x
linzi
I've tried the vets this morning, they've only got a mobile number with 10 numbers, they said he was going to send him to dogs trust so i'm trying them now, thanks for all your posts will get back and let you know if its sparky, thanks lindsay x

Texted owner to check Sparkys page. Presume vets would tell finder to inform the dog warden?
darren
After i spoke to the vets the other day, the Doctor who had found him said he would look after him till the owner came forward.
the dog was also a full male.

Darren, have sent a text with the Bartram info to Linzi. It could have been a Cocker, not a Springer. Do we know where that dog went ? jytte
