- Hi Everyone, thank you for all your support. Great news I had a call this morning from a Vets in Bedford and Cracker was found roaming the streets last night by police. It sounds like she is okay, off her food which in unusual, but I am off to collect her now, can't wait!

- Sorry to read that Cracker has been taken. I do wish people would keep their mitts off pets that dont belong to them. And putting their owners through all this stress. I hope you will be reunited soon Cracker. Stay safe until you are foundxxxx

- Really sorry you haven't had any news. Definetely keep checking with all the local rescues - in person preferably. I've been a local helper on here for several years and have read of several cases where rescues did actually have a dog with them that had been reported by the owner, but didn't put 2 and 2 together! Keep up with the postering too and look out for any being taken down in a particular area as that could hold the key. Has Thame Show been on yet? If not, that would be an ideal place to hand out posters.

- Hi Barney'n'Ozzies mum. No news I am afraid, has a piece in the Thame paper last week had a call, but it turned out to have been a Staffie. Have been at Badminton Horse Trials today handed out some flyers in order to spread the net in case she has been taken out of area. Planning to make Cracker a Facebook page of her own tomorrow, not sure what else to do. Do you think I should keep calling dog wardens and kennels even though I have informed them, don't want to be a pest?!

- Any news?

- How about asking local papers to print an article? Bucks Herald/Bucks Free Press, etc? If she is insured the policy might cover advertising costs. Also posties and bin men are good at noticing if someone has acquired a new dog, so see if the sorting office/depot will display a poster for you. Kids can be great at getting involved too - especially as it's half term. I will display some posters at the council offices in Amersham tomorrow as some of my colleagues travel all over the county. Hope you get some good new soon x

- I Thanks Ruth I also headed out that way today on my bike, saw the posters, I have put a few more out along footpath junctions on the Phoenix, Bledlow and towards the ridge. Went out again around home also with our other dog along our walking routes but no sign. Plan to call Liaison officers tomorrow for both Bucks and Oxfordshire any other thoughts on what we can do?
- 2011-04-17 10:41 Ruth
- Just on my way out to walk a bit of the Phoenix Trail ....... will put up posters at the Towersey and Henton entrances
- 2011-04-16 17:18 Ruth
- The travellers site outside Princes Risborough is at Hemley Hill on the Upper Iknield Way, just off the A4010 going towards High Wycombe.
I will print off some posters and put them up when I am out dog walking. I tend to walk Bledlow/Chinnor way, which is only a few miles across the fields from Kingsey - might be worth getting some posters up on the Phoenix Trail too ....... if I get a chance in the next day or so I will try to do the stretch from Towersey - 2011-04-16 12:08 Cracker
- Hi Thanks for those details I will be sure to call Monday morning, local police came today they said that they might also try their local sites, problem with where we live is that we are on the edge of three different policing areas.

- Bucks Co Council, Walton St, Aylesbury 0845 370 8090, Aylesbury Vale Council 01296 585858.

- Meant to add that if she has got loose of her own accord and has the rope still attached, it may have snagged on something - so be sure to check surrounding fields, wooded areas, etc.

- Hi Cracker. I would suggest talking to the Traveller Liasion Officer at the council rather than go onto the sites yourself. As it's the weekend you won't be able to get hold of them until Monday (try Bucks County Council for this area I think - I will try to find a phone no for you). Wouldn't hurt to poster outside the sites though I suppose - especially if you are offering a reward. I think there is a traveller site just outside Princes Risborough, but I don't know the area that well - my husband think's it's on the B4009.

- Hi Everyone, thanks so much for all your advice, struggling to get enough posters out anyone able to help outside of Thame/Princes Risborough area? I am here visiting my boyfriend so it is hard to make sure I am covering all bases. Would like to check out some of the local gypsy sites but would appreciate any advice from people who have done this before.
- 2011-04-15 21:29 Reynard
- Thanks for all your advice dont think owner is on here yet,so perhaps it may be worth contacting the owner by email
I have sent an email with advice & scenting instuctions & also cross posted to NESSR & Cockers On Line Spaniel Forums
Good Luck! xLast edited: 2011-04-15 21:44:04 by Reynard - 2011-04-15 16:18 Barney 'n' Ozzie's mum
- Just a thought, but what about printing off some posters and handing them out in Friar's Square shopping centre? Also, just incase she got loose and returns to the property, leave an item of clothing with your scent on nearby to try and keep her in the area.

- I've just shared this on my facebook page. Will pass the word around my work colleagues at the council offices in Aylesbury and get my son and daughter's friends to keep a look out if they are over that way. I live just outside High Wycombe, but will be in Aylesbury tomorrow afternoon so will have a look around. Good luck xLast edited: 2011-04-15 16:14:01 by Barney 'n' Ozzie's mum

- I'd get the word round as many local businesses as possible as well - the local pubs are a good way of spreading news and the posties are fabulous for keeping a lookout for dogs - plus anyone doing any delivery rounds - milkmen, supermarket van drivers, local taxis - and mums at the school gates. I do hope you come up with some good news soon. Jo xxLast edited: 2011-04-15 12:24:08 by jobadger

- Contact Maccabee kennels in Longwick, they take in dogs that have been found. I live in Bledlow Ridge, so let me know if there is anything I can do to help.
I will keep my eyes open and let other people know Cracker is missing when I am out walking........ also will share to my facebook page. - 2011-04-15 11:22 Barney 'n' Ozzie's mum
- Is there any way the rope could have come undone by itself or that she could have been seen by anyone passing by? Get as many posters up as you can and notify all the local vets incase she is handed in. Not sure what the nearest rescue is, but would let Stokenchurch Dog Rescue knowand they could prob tell you if there are any out Aylesbury way.
