- What a dreadful thing to happen, especially after he went missing and was reunited last year. To go through it once is bad enough but a second time is awful - I can't imagine what Zak's owners are going through. Sending lost of pma for his quick and safe return x

- I have just spoken to Zak's owner. The car was a silver Ford Focus with an ML09 plate, there haven't been any sightings or reports so far. The police haven't seemed to realise yet that Zak was only put in the car on their say so and I have recommended that the owner contacts them again asap.
I have also recommended that they contact the Tameside Advertiser, I think they will be very interested in the story due to the circumstances of Zak's theft.
Zak's owner has contacted the local Dog Warden and the Animal Wardens and will be getting posters up in the area. I have also recommended setting up a facebook page for Zak - lets get this story out there and get this little one home. - 2012-03-06 10:32 Susannah
- Thanks Angus and snufflepuppy. As you said, the photo changes once posted. Now shared among FB friends and will get re-shared from there. Do we know if the police have had any sightings of the stolen car? That info would be helpful so posters could be placed in those areas too.

- Susannah, if you click on enter when you share on fb it looks like it is going to put the old poster on but it will change when it posts, I thought the same as you at first.
- 2012-03-06 08:01 Angus
- Thanks Susannah - the picture thing is a quirk with facebook rather than on our site - you should be able to change the image by using the arrow keys - choose the 2nd copy and hopefully it will display correctly on FB - Other wise may be best to copy and paste header line and then share from there
- 2012-03-06 00:11 Susannah
- I've just tried to share Zac's missing poster and details on FB and each time the photo changes to one of him with a little girl showing the words Reunited - I don't want to share it while it's misleading. Is it possible for someone in Admin to change the link to this main photo, please?

- Just got back home and great to be posting an update from a computer. Here is part of the email received from his very happy owner earlier today:
Hi,
Jan here is a pic of Zac reunited with my daughter, just want to say a big thank you to yourself and all the Team, if it wasn't for Doglost then the finder would never had seen his photo. The lad who found him was very nice and even dropped Zac off at my home himself, going to continue searching Doglost for missing dogs in my area as I don't want anybody to have to go through what we enjured.
Many many thanks again
Yours
Nicola and all my family

WELCOME HOME ZAK xx - 2011-04-24 17:14 Jayne - Founder Doglost.
- Just spoke to finder to thank him for checking doglost.
He saw the dog in the middle of a busy road and then the terrified dog ran off...he looked around for an owner...could not see anyone so ...followed the dog...he saw it squeeze through an opening where it could not get out......he enlisted the help of another person to guard the hole he got into and climbed over the fence....the dog backed away and was shivvering with fright...after 15 minutes of just talking gently to the dog.....he was able to pick the dog up.
It so happens that this person had Cavaliers when a child...hence the concern.
he then took the dog home...bathed it fed it...not a squeak out of the poor exhausted dog...rang around to the police...who sadly were not interested .....then thought he would google lost king Charles cavalier Manchester....and bingo we pop up...he could not believe it!
Owner had told me it was a Cavalier king charles spaniel...but luckily Majorjet spotted it was not and had changed the breed prior to finder searching.....
another case solved! another example of how team work makes doglost rock!
Oh and wait for the reunited photo which Majorjet will put on site when she gets home.....By the way finder said dog did not make a noise until he knocked at owners door with him! then it never stopped!
Owners tomorrow are going to fix the gate...and a nice new shiny tag!...oh and join us! as is finder John! - 2011-04-24 16:48 Jackalee (Kathryn) - Area Co-ordinator - Greater Manchester
