Brian
We really appreciate that so many people are helping in the search for Meg. What we need now is some luck in Meg being sighted. The children are asking every day if Meg is coming home, so hoping for some good news soon.
BBKM
Oh thank you so much Lal, as you will read in previous postings both Meg's owners and myself have postered Cresswell, Lynemouth and many surrounding areas heavily. Hope they havn't all been taking down.... Wish we had you on board much earlier, could have done with much needed eyes in that area. I live in County Durham so a bit far away for me to be there often. Hope we get some sightings soon xx
Lal
I'm keeping a lookout for Meg as this is very close to me (I live 5 minutes from Cresswell) For some reason I never received an e-mail? Will print more posters off as there aren't many visible unless someone has taken them down. Meg's details have also been posted on the Ellington Neighbourhood Watch Facebook group and shared with new local radio station Ultra Radio.Last edited: 2011-06-09 19:17:57 by Lal

Brian
Been to Cresswell, Lynemouth, and Ellington to leaflet houses and hand out to people who were out and about. Lots of peple seem to know about Meg and are keeping an eye out for her. Some posters put back up as taken down due to the length of time missing. General feeling is that someone has Meg - please, please can we have her back as the children are lost without her. Thanks again to everyone who is helping to finally, we hope, bring Meg home.
BBKM
contacted Lynemouth and Ellington schools to poster and keep a look out for Meg. Lynemouth secretary is going to check the boys possible sighting of Meg a few weeks ago, said she will get back to me. spoke to police again and there have been several rta in area since Meg went missing but none were a spaniel, thats good to hear. I'm sure someone somewhere has Meg and she is not theirs to keep!
BBKM
Been up to Cresswell, Lynemouth and surrounding areas today. Postererd heavily the new poster in all these areas. Been told of a 2 quite positive sightings of Meg about 2-3 weeks ago in Lynemouth. She was seen by a boy aged about 12/13yrs outside Lynemouth First School by herself, just hanging around, and then again another boy told us he saw a black and white dog like Meg across the main road going into the top estate in Lynemouth ?? I am going to call the Headteacher of this school tomorrow to see if I can get this confirmed and maybe get them to Poster in the school as alot of our first poster we have put up on this estate have been torn down, wondering why???? Will keep you informed of any progress x
BBKM
Lets hope we get some news soon about Meg, we will not give up, will be back up there at the weekend xx
hello janey
You know,,it amazes me how many get home after being in this magazine,,fingers and paws crossed for Meg ;-)

Nice updated pictures of Meg on her poster, I will get some printed and we will go up again at the weekend and get them put up. Lets hope we get a positive sighting soon, I'm sure somebody, somewhere knows where she is and who she is with x
Brian
Just got back from Cresswell/ Lynemouth area searching for Meg. No sightings but hoping for news soon as lots of posters are out there. Have updated the photographs.
Meg was lost on school holiday/ Easter weekend, so lots of people were around, not just locals. Please, please, if you found Meg, wanted to give her a good home, and took her home with you, remember Meg is part of our fsmily and is being missed terribly by all of us, especially our 2 little girls. If anyone has Meg please make contact.
Once again thanks to those that are showing so much concern, and spending so much time looking for Meg. We really appreciate it!
Brian
Thanks everyone for the continued help and support. We're still hoping Meg's in the area and that she will be spotted again very soon, as she is being missed lots by all the family. Special thanks Eve.Last edited: 2011-05-12 14:52:11 by Brian
BBKM
Firstly,thank you Looka.
We went up to Cresswell area at the weekend. Got really positive responses and would like to thank the local people and the local Romany Gypsies who all showed concern, and said they will keep a look out for Meg. Spoke to one man who was certain he had seen Meg on the beach earlier on Saturday morning with people collecting coal.(same area as last sighting of dog running and chasing other dog) We followed this up the best we could but to no avail as yet. We postered Lynemouth heavily and are going back on Sat to poster wider area. Thank you to Cresswell Parish Council councillor, RNLI and Northumberland County council official and staff at Golden Sands Park for your help and concern. Come on Meg lets get you home x
nedthedog
Been back up to cresswell and surrounding areas tonight nothing at all on the beach will keep searching over weekend
BBKM
Hi Brian, we will get some more posters up in Lynemouth as soon as possible and will search that area. It may be tonight, if not, definately Sat & Sun. Will speak to you again soon, Eve.
Brian
Took a call from a lady today who was visiting a relative last Friday. She said she saw a small black and white dog she thought looked like Meg running very fast chasing another dog. Said this was opposite Golden Sands holiday park, running towards Lynemouth. I guess she must have seen the picture on the poster and called on my home number. I don't know if there are any posters in Lynemouth? We really appreciate all the interest and help that is being put in to finding Meg, especially as we live so far away.
BBKM
Also I have heard the appeal for Meg on NE1 FM radio several times today x
BBKM
Thanks fazersmart, is there anyone in this area to check this gumtree girl out, although Meg is only 11 months and has a full black tail, but might not be genuine picture or posting info. It is possible they were on holiday like Meg's family and have taken her home with them. Who know???
fazersmart
may or maynot but you never know; On Gumtree this morning a suspicious ad for a female black & white full tailed cocker for sale £100 in Manchester. Sounds genuine until at the bottom it states; they will bring dog to you for visit to 'see where it'll be living' for their piece of mind! There is a photo that is not like your dog but again, this maynot be real. Here is the details: http://www.gumtree.com/p/pets/25yr-old-black-white-cocker-spaniel-girl/79064750 Might be worth checking out.
BBKM
Rose from NESSR got through to Night Owls on Metro radio at 10pm and put an excellent appeal out for help to find Meg or to anyone who knows where she is to please call x
Brian
Had a call from radio station NE1 FM. They are including a mention for Meg tomorrow (Friday), in the hope that it will jog someone's memory. Here's hoping!
jobadger
Just a thought - Meg is down as a cocker on her DL description. Might it not be an idea to also say 'looks like a small B/W springer' in case she's found and the finder doesn't look at photos. xxLast edited: 2011-05-05 17:29:00 by jobadger
DogLostReynard
Fingers crossed for another sighting if she is there someone will eventualy see her xxx

Keep up the BBQ if you can bazil & you are a wonderful person for helping out I wish you well xxx
BBKM
Just read posting in Reunited Poppy 29445. What a brilliant outcome and its gives me more hope that Meg will be found soon xxx
BBKM
After receiving a call from the Dog Warden informing me that there had been a sighting of a small b/w springer spaniel seen yesterday in the sand dunes between Druridge Bay and Cresswell, we went up there again tonight with BBQ, sausages, bacon and binoculars, but after over 2 hrs of searching the dunes, miles and miles of them, there was no sightings of Meg. Just want this little girl to be safe. If she is in the dunes at least she will be warm and sheltered. We spoke to alot of dog walkers who go there every day 2-3 times and none had seen her. Hopefully we will get another very positive sighting tomorrow x
Jumanji - Co-ordinator.South.Yorkshire
bazil thank so much for the help you are giving Meg's owners! It is any owners worst nightmare to lose their dog but even worse to lose one so far from home. Thanks again and keep up the good work x
BBKM
Been out again tonight and put up approx 30 posters around this area where Meg was lost. Chatting to locals and alot are aware now, that Meg is still missing. Just managed to get Meg's details and info read out on BBC Radio Newcastle at 10pm on Sue Sweeny show when driving home. Come on Meg little darling, come out and show yourself, your family need you home with them x
hello janey
I do hope this is Meg and she is home soon,,you have to just hang in there,,smart girl like this will be hiding out somewhere ;-)
BBKM
Thanks for advice Reynard, we will do all that you have advised when Meg's owner comes up.
BBKM
Going up to Cresswell tonight to get more posters up and search, and hopefully this will lead to a positive sighting of Meg.
DogLostJayne - Founder Doglost.
Bumped due to sightings. Thanks English Spaniel Rescue for the local help and for updating us.
DogLostReynard
Thanks Bazil for update this could be positive news then fingers crossed, I would suggest that on the nxt visit that owners SCENT, & a peice of owners clothing, favourite toy and smelly food should be taken if not done already ? Also I would suggest you take a portable BBQ with you and cook some Sausages as the SMELL should bring her close and do be low key about it all please NO shouting as she will be frighten. Apologise if you already know all this & Good Luck!
Oh! and sending scenting instuctions to ownerLast edited: 2011-05-02 21:18:46 by Reynard

Spoke to owner earlier when out searching for Meg today. We searched for nearly 4hrs today, on the beach, rocks, cliff edges and in the woodland near to Cresswell Towers and sadly no sightings by us. One possible sighting by a little girl who said she saw a B/W dog on Cresswell beach this morning with no owner. Another possible sighting by a man at Druridge Bay beach. We have handed out posters but need to go back with many more to hopefully get a positive sighting of Meg then we will have some idea where to start looking again. We are going to return on Wednesday after 7pm when it is quieter and not so many people and traffic about. Keeping positive, Eve
Brian
Thanks for everybody's concern and help. Meg is a working cocker spaniel, so looks like a small springer. Hoping for good news soon - Meg's owners.
DogLostReynard
Have cross posted to Its a Springthing & Thanks Wickedweims for your help xxx
BBKM
Is there any news of Meg or any sightings yet? This must be terrible for the owners as they live so far away. Is she definately a cocker spaniel as she looks more springer to me.
Jumanji - Co-ordinator.South.Yorkshire
Sadly there is still no news of Meg. She was lost on the beach whilst on holiday with her owners who live a long way from here and they really need local help to find her. They have contacted the dog warden and believe someone has done some postering for them but if anyone can help with more posters it would be such a help ! I have suggested that they try to get some local media coverage if possible.
Hoping for some news of Meg very soon ~ Pam
