- Re-united photo of lovely wee Bertie and apparently he is none the worse for this horrible episode. His owners are over the moon to have him back home and safe.

- Whooppee!!!!!!!!!!! This is the BEST news ever. I'm so very happy for Bertie's Mum & Dad. I was just about to take my Dogs for a walk along the canal to look for him. I will contact Valley Vets to tell them he's been found. Can't wait for an update as I was only speaking to Bertie's Dad half an hour ago.

- Fab news. Bertie has been found. Just had a call from his owner to say that he is at local kennels. He had been initially been found at a near by training centre and from there was sent to the kennels. Will update ASAP but just so happy that this wee man is safe.

- Have spoken to Bertie's Dad & there is still no news on Bertie. They are being very proactive and are in the process of contacting local vets. The slightly unfortunate thing is that they have had to take the Narrow boat back as they had only been using it for a holiday and they don't live in the area. Dog wardens have been contacted & Beezle has been of great help. They are going to leave some bedding in the area and have taken their other dog to do some scenting. When I phoned they were getting ready to go back to the area. I suggested if possible to camp out and maybe do a smelly BBQ so they may give that a go. I've suggested they try to get the Reading Newspapers involved etc. Mr Burgess has also informed the Canal authorities so a lot has been covered. Fingers crossed it won't be long before Bertie is found.

- I spoke to my friend who lives by the Lock where Bertie went missing from and she said Bertie's Dad had called at her house yesterday asking if she had seen him -sadly she hadn't but she will go out on her Bike along the canal to have a good look later today. As Bertie is 12yrs old it is unlikely he would have made it onto the rail lines and according to her they are well fenced off. Bertie's owners are actuallly on holiday on their Narrow boat so it's URGENT that Bertie is found and his Dad is distraught. There is a poster up at the Lock and I will try to speak to Bertie's Dad today to get a bit more info.

- I have a friend who lives next to the canal, next lock down from Ufton so I will print off a Poster of Bertie for her. Have you informed the Canal Authorities? Also as the Rail Line isn't too far away it might be a good idea to contact Network Rail. Is it possible that a fisherman could have found him? Contact Newbury and Reading Dog Wardens. Just incase he makes his way back to your Narrow Boat can he get access to it if you should be out - if not maybe leave some of his bedding out for him. I will hand a Missing Poster into Valley Vets at Pangbourne and Tutts Clump! I hope Bertie is back home with you soon

- Have just had a call from the owner of this dog and he bolted after a lightening strike. Have emailed scenting advice and am awaiting a photo which should arrive any time now.

- I am afraid not as I have already checked this out. Lost dog is a chihuahua cross - don't know what with but according to owner he is very fluffy and curly and mostly white.
