- 2011-05-31 10:23 dewilliams42
- NO LUCK THEN? SURPRISING NO ONE ADVERTISING HIM/HER AS LOST.
- 2011-05-17 20:41 littlehelper
- I do go over to Ilkeston most days, and keep looking, not a lot else I can do now am afraid.
- 2011-05-17 11:47 dewilliams42
- SHAME ABOUT THAT BUT SOMEONE MAY REMEMBER SOMETHING. I WAS THINKING THAT MAN SEEMED TO KNOW THE NAMES OF STREETS SO HE COULD BE LOCAL. HOWEVER HE DID'NT SEEM VERY HONEST ABOUT THINGS-I WONDERED IF HE HAD FOUND THE DOG ELSEWHERE THEN IT GOT LOOSE WHERE YOU SAW IT AND THEN HE RECAPTURED IT-NO WONDER THE POOR MITE BIT HIM. YOU CERTAINLY HAVE DONE YOUR BEST BUT PERHAPS YOU WILL SPOT THE MAN AROUND.
- 2011-05-16 22:12 littlehelper
- No am sorry to say, I don't think this dog could have been missing from this area
- 2011-05-16 08:58 dewilliams42
- any response from the article?
- 2011-05-14 09:52 dewilliams42
- HOPIMG THE ARTICLE HAS JOGGED SOMEONES MEMORY.
- 2011-05-11 20:44 littlehelper
- Hi hamish&katy & dewilliams42 Thank you for your wishes, I have spoken with doglost and no I didn't pick up his face on my camera and just hoping that this one is OK
- 2011-05-11 18:42 Sheila
- Fingers crossed for Friday and hope someone contacts you with good news!
- 2011-05-11 17:38 dewilliams42
- GOOD LUCK WITH THE ARTICLE FRIDAY-HOPE SOMEONE WILL RECOGNISE THE DOG OR HAVE HEARD OF ONE MISSING. IT DOES LOOK VERY SUSPICIOUS THOUGH.
- 2011-05-10 22:42 hamish&katy
- have you spoken to someone at Doglost they maybe able to give so advice??
- 2011-05-10 22:38 hamish&katy
- someone should recognise that tattoo on his arm, did you get a photo of his face as well?
- 2011-05-10 21:51 littlehelper
- god not even had a drink and look at that spellings never mind lol
- 2011-05-10 21:31 littlehelper
- There is no way it was his dog, espeically as it bit him, I have put an ad in the local paper for Friday fingers crossed. I think he has sold it.
- 2011-05-10 11:08 dewilliams42
- you just dont expect people to tell you lies especially when you help them out by giving this person a lift. only thing i can think of is perhaps the local paper would put the picture in with a short article asking if anyone recognises the dog. hope the poor mite is ok. could it have been his dog and he did'nt want to explain why it was loose on the road?
- 2011-05-09 22:18 littlehelper
- No I offered to run him home were he said he lived, but said he had to get keys from his e wife, So I dropped him off were he said she lived, the dog did seem all right with him, he was really making a fuse of it, I don't think I will ever take anyones word again, I am going to West Hallam tomorrow so will take posters there, a lot of dog walkers around Shipley Park.
- 2011-05-09 14:04 dewilliams42
- DID YOU ACTUALLY DROP THIS MAN OFF WHERE HE SAID HE LIVED? DOUBT HE GAVE HIS REAL NAME IF HE WAS'NT GENUINE. WAS THE DOG COMFORTABLE BEING WITH HIM-POOR LITTLE MITE. DIFFICULT TO KNOW WHERE TO GO FROM HERE.
- 2011-05-08 20:45 littlehelper
- As you say strange no one is looking for him/her, I have been to all the vets and rescue centres for 5 miles around and nothing has been reported
- 2011-05-07 10:24 dewilliams42
- THANKS FOR EXPLAINING-I WAS A BIT CONFUSED.STRANGE HE GAVE YOU A FALSE ADRESS UNLESS YOU MISHEARD-BEING IN A HURRY YOU COULD HAVE MIXED IT UP. HE MIGHT HAVE DECIDED TO KEEP IT WITHOUT TRYING TO FIND OWNERS-ARE THERE ANY KENNELS/RESCUES HE MIGHT HAVE DROPPED IT OFF. ONLY THING WHICH MIGHT HELP IF THE LOCAL PAPER WOULD PUT THE PHOTO IN ASKING THIS MAN TO COME FORWARD.THE ONE SOLD IN NOTTINGHAM WOULD THEY RECOGNISE IT FROM THE PHOTO? STRANGE NO ONE SEEMS TO BE LOOKING FOR IT IF IT WAS WELL KEPT. GOOD LUCK AND HOPE YOU GET PEACE OF MIND.

- dewilliams42, I actually got this dog in my car, this man in the photo helped me out as I thought, I had 10 mins before I had to be a funeral he sat in my car seemed very decent chap, said his name, I didn't take it in as I was worried about getting to the cematary said he was a social worker seemed really concerned about the dog and caring was fussing it, even spoke to the dog warden for collection, the dog was very well looked after, don't think it had been dumped very clean, today I got someone to ring about a yorkshire terrier that had been put up for sale £150 in Nottingham in the last six days, sadly it had gone, I was going to go and look to see if it was the same dog.
- 2011-05-06 13:21 Sheila
- Do you think the local newspaper or local radio station might be able to help and perhaps run a feature? The only other suggestion I can make is putting a poster in all the local vet surgeries and asking them to look out for this little one, in case someone takes it in for treatment. Fingers crossed this has a happy ending!
- 2011-05-06 08:34 dewilliams42
- bit confused here-did you actually meet the man who took her(is he the one in your car or are you creating the site on behalf of finder?) have you actually seen the dog-if it was in good condition it must be from the area unless dumped. obviously it was'nt the dog shalis lost? hopefully someone may come forward with some info. poor litle mite if he has been picked up by someone he did'nt know.
- 2011-05-05 22:21 littlehelper
- I put in Godfrey Street in Sav nav and it took me to Heonor in Derbyshire, I went to the police station there but they didn't know anything, rang Amber Valley dog warden, who was helpful, but had not had him/her in had a poster in my car window, and asked local people if they had seen a dog like this new to area but nothing again, I will looking at dogs for sale, really don't know what else to do any suggestions? I have also put on serval dog lost sites
- 2011-05-05 21:26 hamish&katy
- Could you post him/her on the dogs lost page? Last edited: 2011-05-05 21:27:16 by hamish&katy

- Can understand how angry you feel - feel like that myself! Think it is dreadful that people can sell dogs on and agree this may have happened in this case. Certainly looks suspicious doesn't it? Just wish he/she was found and could join our family permanently, where the little mite will be safe for good! Think I would be a "failed fosterer" and end up keeping them in any case - LOL.
- 2011-05-04 22:11 littlehelper
- I went to Kirk-Hallam Ilkeston were this man said he lived and put up poster some as above only with have you seen this dog and my number, put up in their post office and community centre and on trees near to were people walk their dogs also put up in the RSPCA I feelso angry that all this has happened to this little mite, people tell me that they sell for over £200 so have looked at adverts as well I will keep looking on Oodle.com which sell dogs I just pray this dog is safe
- 2011-05-04 12:50 Sheila
- OMG - so sorry to hear all of this! Had my fingers crossed I could help out on this one. Just hope the poor little terrier is okay! So sorry the Dog Warden wasn't helpful and thinking of all the hard work you are having to put in Little Helper. If there is anything I can do to help, let me know.

- SO SORRY TO READ THIS. IF THE DOG WARDEN WAS SO UNHELPFUL WHY IS HE IN THIS JOB. MOST ARE HELPFUL AND ARE IN THE JOB BECAUSE THEY HAVE AN INTEREST IN DOGS, YOU HAVE WORKED SO HARD FOR THIS LITTLE MITE SO I HOPE YOU WILL FIND OUT WHAT HAPPENED TO HIM FOR YOUR PEACE OF MIND. WHERE WAS HE WHEN THIS MAN TOOK HIM?
- 2011-05-03 21:37 littlehelper

- Well what a day, bad news as well, I went to the address that the man who took, this little dog, and he DOES NOT live there, I spoke to the people next door and they said there was no one around like him, so I rang the Erewash dog warden, yet again unhelpful, the warden himself didn't bother to speak to me, he told his secretary to say he didn't get a call for this dog, I went mad, and told them they did, because I was the person that rang, but all I got was they had not picked up this dog, so I spent hours going to all the vets in Ilkeston to see if anyone had brought the dog in to see if it was micro chipped all said no, so am sorry, I really don't know what else I can do, but keep going back and looking for this chap, So sorry I couldn't give you good news
