I know what I'd like to do to these scum bags that steal people's dogs and cause all the distress and heartache... Welcome home and stay safe now beautiful girl xx

Welcome home pretty girl. So pleased for you and your owners. Have heard police say that sometimes they steal dogs and tell the would be buyer that a relative has died and they only want so much for the pet. (Of course to make money)

Yipeeeee!!! so glad she is back its nearly a month and if I got me calculations right found about 40 miles away!!

I guess this bloke bought her from the person that stole her , Some horrible scum bags about!
Please dont leaves dogs unatended ANYWHERE as so many dogs are stolen that way
Thank goodness she was chipped and the Vets contacted the Chip co, sadly not enough routinely do!

Just had phone call from owners but unable to take call as on landline but rang back after hearing voicemail and excellant news. Well done the vets for their actions- if only they all took the trouble to scan and find out more.

So pleased this lady is back home with no ill effects other than a litltle under- weight but with a few steady meals and TLC will soon be back to normal.

We are so happy to be reunited with our beloved spaniel today. She was taken to a vets in shalford by a man who wanted to see if she was chipped. They took her out the back, scanned her and rang petlog who told them the dog was missing. The man had to leave empty handed!Thank you for all your help and comments.

email from owner with more deatils........
Thank you very much for this email. we have notified the Police, local councils, microchip company, vets, RSPCA, local shops & pubs.

She’s 2.5 years old & not a dog that wanders. She occasionally goes through the hedge to dine on horse poo in the field next to us (delightful). She’s a trained gun dog, very loving & won’t chase livestock. She doesn’t wear a collar so she won’t get hung up.

Our sons were searching the local fields & woods within 15 minutes of her last sighting.

I’ve attached 3 more photo’s of her so that you can see more of her markings. Her tail is docked to about 6 inches.

Her liver markings are across both shoulders, across both hips & her tail.

I have that ghastly feeling that she’s been stolen even though our other 2 spaniels didn’t bark.

Thank you again for your attention & we are all keeping our fingers crossed.

Hi- we spoke yesterday. The things I did when Biscuit was stolen six months ago: The usual things you have done, like vets, RSPCA, police, dog warden at council. I had an article in the local paper, I advertise on Pets4homes, Preloved, Freeads, Friday Ads and Loot. I put pictures into countryman's weekly, gun dogs magazine, called and wrote to itsaspringthing and ESSW (English Springer Spaniel Welfare), and I called springer breeders. I distributed around 2000 posters by now and had no result, despite him being micro chipped. I don't want to discourage you as most dogs are found within a few days but you need to keep up the pressure and call the key worker regularly. Traveller's sites are a good starting point, although they could have passed her on to some distant site as well. I have shared her details on my facebook page and so 450 plus members have seen this. You could start a page of her own to get her to become the best known springer in the UK. It helps! GOOD LUCK!!! Magda
Kellyandeddie:
ask the police to visit the travellers site by burgess hill tip. in laws live in hassocks so will get them to keep eye out. Good luck

Sorry to see that your springer is missing. Was she stolen or lost? Have you had any luck with the police? My male was stolen form my house in November. I have had help from the Pet Detectives- without success to date- but will be on Channel 4 later this month because I feel too may dogs disappear these days!If there is anything I can do, please let me know. Some people organise search parties- and some even go to traveller's sites...
