  • Other Info This little dog followed us home. He is a very friendly, excited dog, light brown, and ginger scraggly furred, with some grey. He was running on roads etc, so we brought him home so he would not get run over and hopefully can re-home him with his owner(s) He smells allot though, like poo and wee, very dirty but seems healthy.

Hi, just wondered if you have a picture of "Stig" stripped?
I lost my dog around this time, I am just curious and would honestly just love to know what happened to him. My email is sparnham@me.com if you have a picture?
Thank you!
Sarah
Don't suppose you could show a photo of 'Stig' now that he has been all cleaned and tidied? Just checking that it couldn't be Archie - I know you had the dog checked for a microchip and didn't find one but maybe it could have moved or been removed. So desperate for news of Archie and I was quite keen when you suggested we could home the dog even if it wasn't Archie - the house just isn't the same without him.

So pleased to hear that Stig has a home with you now. Much better for him to be settled than passed around - I am sure you will all be very happy together. He looks a lovely little chap.

Stig will be staying with us forever. Be it the right or wrong thing to do he was castrated yesterday & has been microchipped with my name & address he has also been vaccinated. Couldn't have him here without all the above & didn't want him passed from pillar to post - ultimatley he will be better off for it. If origional owner does turn up then I'll deal with that as & when it happens. Hope this was the right thing to do!

Going to the vet on friday - my car has been in the garage so not been able to take him. He seems to be getting younger by the day. Denta Sticks have removed a lot of the build up on his teeth- I've given up trying to guess how old he is! Its amazing what worm & flea treatment & a few days good food & rest can do. Still no sign of an owner.

any more news on this fella ?

Thank you Jan. The police have just searched as far back as November in their database. He's going to the vet either Monday or Tuesday - am a bit worried about the smell he is emitting from 'both' ends! Should have a more accurate estimate of his age then. Is it worth putting up a pic of him now he has been groomed - looks a lot different?

Thanks hils78, for the updates, I've changed his breed and added your mobile number. Hope his family are found soon. Jan x

My number is 07722336902 (different from the poster one) because the person who found him has plans for the weekend... I'm just nipping out but when I get back I'll have a look.

There are three Border Terrier missing from the Central (ish) area. 46 miles away (Peterborough), 67 miles away (Shropshire) and 50 miles away (Cheshire)
All are boys. Have these owners been notified to this little man? I know its a distance but some have been missing for a couple/few months.....and naughty dogs will travel!!

Poor thing - not sure I want the owners to come forward if he feels threatened by them.

I am harbouring the mutt for a few days - he is def 100% Border Terrier -can that poss be changed in the title please?
At a guess I would say he's been an outdoor dog, his ears were quite crispy with muck. He smelled like a sewer - he's half the dog he was after his bath (which he took more graciously than my blocked plug hole!). He's got a fabulous temperament and doesn't seem overly phased by cats either. His teeth are horrendous which makes me think he's an older gent. Will get him to a vet tomorrow to scan him. He does drop to the floor on his belly if he feels threatened which is quite sad :-(
Forgot to mention he is entire.

Bless you for being so caring
Border Girl
I would agree - he certainly looks like a full border terrier to me. I really do hope someone comes forward for him soon.
Spindle
Would say this could be a full border terrier. please take to a vet and get scanned for a chip.
