- Laura, I lost my dog in the same way; she heard the train, but for some reason, was still hit. I can't tell you why such awful things happen, only that I hope and pray there is a reason and we just don't know what that reason is, at least, not here on earth. Your little girl would not have suffered. Maybe it was God's way of taking her quickly without suffering as she had been so good and been through so much. She had found her forever home in you and could now go to heaven knowing that she was so loved and always will be. Until you meet again - and I know you will. God bless you both. With love, Kim x Last edited: 2011-05-11 23:14:17 by Kimmybear - Area Co-ordinator, Essex & Hertfordshire borders

- Laura, it breaks our hearts when we see Rainbow Bridges, the only consolation is you now have closure, not the reunion anyone wanted but she is home with you. There are so many that go missing and owners never get to know what has happened to them.
Little Plu was well loved by her family and all who knew her.
Sending you a big hug from everyone on DL. Jan x - 2011-05-08 23:16 lauratmoscow
- thank you everyone - we are just distraught and still somehow hoping she'll come padding up the stairs. thanks to the leaflets and posters provided by doglost (THANK YOU JAN) we received a call which allowed us to find her and bring her home to be buried. Poor little Plu. So very very loved and missed. Laura xx

- I am so, so very sad to hear this news. She was such a lovely, darling dog.
We live in Southbrook Road, our garden backs onto the railway line in between Hither Green & Lee. Since we got the leaflet today, have been out several times to have a look around. Was so, so hoping she would be found safe & well.
Rest in peace, dear creature.
Much love to her owner/s.

this evening at about 7:15 my dog wandered off in the direction of Hither Green railway station and got onto the tracks, my partner was in close pursuit but was not allowed onto the tracks to get her. the station master shut the station down for 40 mins while he went down to get her but she would not let him grab her.
she was last seen by a train driver at Lee Station, still on the tracks, she had been struck by one of the live rails but was seemingly ok -- a couple of drivers tried to get her but were unsuccessful.
She is completely deaf - she is white, a cross breed who looks like a french bulldog crossed with a staffie - she has one blue eye and one brown eye, one ear permanently up and one permanently down. she is very distinctive, very shy and nervous of people she does not know. being deaf she has absolutely no traffic sense whatsoever. she is a rescue dog - about 11 years old. her tail is chopped (not by me).
If anyone can do anything at all to help me find her - or to help me find out what happened to her .... I will be eternally grateful ... her name is Pliushka, but as I said she is deaf and so does not answer to her name.
I am fearing the worst - but still holding out hope.
please help if you can. thank you
