  • Other Info Fantastic news!!! After the longest, saddest week I can remember in a long time, we got Bolt home safe and sound yesterday. He'd spent a week living in a car with a lovely guy who had spoiled him rotten. They'd been to Brighton and had all sorts of adventures. The guy assumed he was a stray but then called us when he saw a poster. His car was a sea of blankets where they'd slept together, and the boot was full of dog food and dog toys! We're so very grateful for the advice and support

so glad. Get the micro chip. What a kind man. Perhaps he could adopt from a pound where dogs are killed after 7 days.

So pleased you've got him back! Very good of the guy who picked him up to return him as soon as he saw the posters. You must have been so worried. xx

David, thanks for letting us know the brilliant news.

This is the case with a lot of found dogs, not everyone realises they must report a found dog and it is not until a POSTER is seen finder realises someone is looking for them. WELL DONE and THANK YOU to his finder for looking after him so well and contacting you. If not already do get him CHIPPED a.s.a.p.

Thank you to everyone who has helped David in his search for Bolt.

Have great pleasure in moving him into the BLUE, welcome home gorgeous Bolt lots of hugs and cuddles from everyone on DL. Jan x

I am away for 10 days but perhaps I can help you with the fliers when I return.
David
Thanks to all of you for your advice. I am putting up posters every day, widening the search bit by bit. Some of them have been taken down which is disheartening, but I´ll just keep putting them up. We´ve contacted the vets in our borough and neighbouring boroughs, and are working through the list of animal rescue centres. I´m also going round the parks and pubs and handing out flyers. I´m sure he´s been adopted. He´d have gone home with anyone and as he didn´t have a collar on they probably thought he was a stray. Two people reckon they saw him with a couple of 17-year-olds in London Fields, on a belt rather than on a lead, so I´ve posted posters around there and spoken to lots of people. I had an odd phone call 2 days ago from a young guy who asked how much the reward was for. I said 100 pounds and asked whether he had the dog. He said no, but that he had lost his own dog and wanted to know how much to offer as a reward. He witheld his number and was not very convincing.

Thanks again for the support. Fingers crossed.

I wonder if he is wandering along the railway. There is a lot of foliage on each side of the track. Might be worth asking in the station or with the train company. A driver may have seen a dog along the track and reported it.
