Lovely re-united photo of Cardi and owner.

Been away for the weekend, lovely news to come back to that Cardi and Whisper are both safe and back where they belong. I've taken some posters down from Aberthin and Penllyn this morning and will take them down as and when I see them. xx

Mali, thanks for the texts this morning which were greatly received. So pleased he is HOME and have great pleasure in moving him into the BLUE.

Posters working their magic once again. WELL DONE and THANK YOU to his finder and the work colleague.

Welcome home gorgeous Cardi lots of hugs and cuddles from everyone on DogLost. Jan x
Mali
He's HOME!!! Can't believe it. Naomi rang me last night as soon as she got back from her holidays and I picked Cardi up at 11pm. He's fine. Naomi did not want to hand him over to the dog wardens so kept hold of him with the intention of looking for his owners once back from Cornwall. She picked him up the day he went missing - so he's been quite safe for all that time. Maybe there is an issue about trusting dog wardens etc - they don't have a good image thanks to disney etc!! But the most important thing is that he is back and well. Thank you all for all your help and support. I'm heading out to take down some posters today - but I suspect that it'll take the whole weekend. Just goes to show though that postering works - it was Naomi's work colleague that saw a poster and made the connection. Much love. xx
Mali
They're not sure when she's back but her work have been fantastic. If all ok and he comes home to us I'll come and introduce him to you and the children. Yes, the thought of taking the posters down fills me with fear - if it's not him. If it is - I'll show him how hard everyone worked to get him home. xx
Ros
When is she due back to work, any news from her? I keep checking, hoping to see he's back and then I can start taking the posters down for you. The children I look after are always asking about him as we see his face everywhere - you've done a brilliant job with the posters.
Mali
Thanks Liz. Just found out that it is illegal to not report it too. Although I can see that she probably wants to protect the dog on some level too. Here's hoping!! x
Unknown
I hope she has Cardi but how frustrating for you. I can partly understand her thinking but she should have at least tried to get him scanned and then contacted you instead of you having to go through all this worrying. I hope you make contact with her today. Liz xx
Mali
Well I've just been down to this woman's office and they were all lovely. They are going to try and get hold of her and get her to call me. Thanks Ros. xx
Ros
Unfortunately what you find out when you lose a dog is that the police don't really have a policy. Not all forces but here I reported Ruby missing, the people that found her reported her as found but no one bothered to put two and two together, hence two further weeks of not being united. I'm sure there could be a better system, especially when your call is supposedly logged and you are given a reference number. Good for Mario for getting in touch. Possibly it's one of the rare cases where a microchip doesn't scan? Either way, hope you get to find out soon whether or not it's Cardi. Everything crossed here.x
Mali
Who knows? Basically we searched high and low along the fields by the M4 and have put posters up all around. And yes it was a collie. As for the woman- to me this sounds promising but we have failed to get in touch with her. We now have her mobile number and her name is Naomi but it is constantly switched off. She is off work for a week so she may have switched it off to have a break and has taken the dog with her. But as you can imagine we are just desperate to hear from her. Apparently Naomi called the police to report finding the dog but they directed her to the dog warden. She did not want to contact the warden as she thought the dog would be put in a cage etc. She told her colleague that she would take the dog to be scanned but we have heard nothing so she probably hasn't. The poor guy in the middle, Mario is trying his best to help us and is also leaving messages for Naomi but getting no luck either. xx
Ros
Does that mean they've taken him on holiday if there are holidaying in UK - is it a collie? Sorry, stupid questions I'm sure you've asked yourself! Well, here's hoping it's him. Was the dog reported to you seen actually on the M4 or on embankment, so worrying for you to think that could have been him. Do you know when this person should be back from holiday - is there a mobile number you can get them on?
Mali
Gosh this is so frustrating. A guy rang me last night saying that he thinks his colleague may have Cardi, after finding a dog in the woods nearby, but this person is away on holiday for a week! They live in Ely, Cardiff apparently. I have called all vets in the area in the hope that that may yield something. Thanks. Malix
Mali
Thank you Ros. It really is so difficult but so good to hear your story- trying to stay positive, and the majority of people are only too willing to help. We have gone as far as Tonyrefail putting posters up and called dog pounds as far as Caerphilly. Just hard as we have a young baby - poor thing is being neglected at the moment as I'm out looking for Cardi as much as possible. He is clever so I'm hoping he's keeping his wits about him. A dog fitting his description was seen a few times on Friday on the M4 between junction 33-34. Steve has walked the whole area and I have been calling out until I'm horse. I keep talking to Cardi - telling him it's up to him now - he's got to let someone know where he is!! Miss him dreadfully. Silly boy. xx But thank you once again - wonderful support. xx
Ros
I'm sorry that there's still no news of Cardi, thoughts are with you, I know how this feels as Ruby was missing for 3 weeks. Great news is we got her back and she wasn't chipped (is now) so you have a huge advantage, stay positive. Ruby was 7 miles away so don't discount postering further afield, let me know if there's anything specific I can do to help but sounds like you are doing all the right things.

Mali, great you have managed to post and welcome on board DogLost. You have got some good helpers posting on here which is great, thank you to each and everyone of you. :)Jan x

Mali
Also Maria - thank you so much for alerting us to the dog that came to your door - I know you spoke to Mum and I will call you properly to thank you. I'm pretty sure it's not Cardi. Had a chat with the pound and all sorts of things don't match up. But I'm very grateful for your efforts. Thank you so much. Love, Malixx
Mali
I have finally been able to log in! I am amazed by all your support and efforts - thank you so much - you are wonderful. I am still in shock that he has run away - so not like him. He is a beautiful dog. We got him at 9 months when he'd already had a tough time. And he has grown into a really special thing. We have put posters everywhere, I am phoning dog pounds everyday - to the point that they say my name and Cardi's name! I just can't think where he could be. Terrified that he can't find his way home. But the saving grace is people like you - thank you from the bottom of my heart - and Steve's! With lots of love and hope, Malixx

Great idea - I gave a poster to our postie this morning (he covers Cowbridge area) and he said he'd put it up in the office. Ewenney village store have a poster on their door. Come on gorgeous Cardi, let someone know where you are.

In rural areas like ours (I'm near bridgend) the postman is useful..show yours the photo, he/she walks every drive and garden. Will be looking out for Cardi (beautiful dog)and hope you're soon re-united. Best of luck and keep positive.
Ros
I've put posters up from the Vale hotel back to Penllyn and have seen posters already up in good some places. Got more to do tomorrow - hope you get some good news soon.
Ros
p.s. Our collie once ran off during fireworks. Luckily he was found quickly but he'd ran down the road and was cowering under a parked car - possibly Cardi has found somewhere safe and he's stayed there - check farm yards, barns etc and if you haven't already, make local farmers aware - they are the best people to inform and likely to notice him.
Ros
This is in my area, I will be on the lookout for you. Great news that he is microchipped, I hope it's not too long before you get some good news. Keep positive and poster, poster, poster - everywhere - an ad in the gem might be a good idea too.

Have been texting back and forth with owner who has tried to register but is having problems, I've given advice on how to register.

Details updated now from what owner has said.

Owner has looked at the pics of the found and does not think it is Cardi but will follow it up. Hopefully will be able to register and post an update on here. Jan x

Maria, I've looked at the pics of the BC on your gumtree add, looks very similar but the marking look different to me. The coat also looks shorter. Owner has been alerted to your comments. Jan x
