Jim Bob is HOME!!! Here is the update on Bulldog Rescues website

Well, on Friday a call came in from someone in North Wales who had found a bulldog by the side of the road with what appeared to be a broken leg, she calls me to find out what to do - legally you have to inform the Dog Warden so I told her to do that and tell the DW that she was happy to keep the dog for it's 7 days - then take it to the vet, find out what was wrong with the leg and we'd pick up the bill - coincidence one is that the person who found it was the son of a Bulldog Breeder!

Not being home for most of Saturday I was amazed when picking up my messages late Saturday night that the microchip had shown up that the found dog was in fact JIM BOB! Stolen aged 5 months old during a burgalry over a year ago! Thrilled with the news that Jim Bob was back where he was meant to be I called the owner, only to find out that at the exact time the finder returned the dog to her a man claiming to be his "owner" also arrived on her doorstep making all kinds of accusations and threats - how he knew which house to go to I can only speculate but I bet you can guess what I'm thinking!

And the leg ..... an old, untreated injury with scaring that could be rope burns - gosh I hope he's not been tethered and used as fight bait.

But the moral of this story, apart from the fact that it could be the script of a soap is that even almost 2 years down the line it was the microchip that told us who he was - if there is only one reason to microchip your pups this is it!

Either way we are delighted to be able to announce that Jim Bob is home where he belongs and if he could talk he'd have an amazing story to tell thats for sure!

POWER TO THE MICROCHIP!!! Welcome Home Jim Bob and wishing you a very speedy recovery xx

Had a reply back from Bulldog Rescue. They have contacted K9search and the bulldog in West Brom has already been claimed by it's owners. At least it's back home where it belongs.
Hope Jim Bob is home soon :)

10 posters distributed round vets and shops in Helsby and Frodsham. One in days in at nearby Motorway services. Need to do more. Have emailed posters to other nearby vets. The Willows group asked for jpeg to go on their lost dog page, so that is done.

Thanks...It would be great if you could print off some posters for local vets and petshops...even give on to your postman and ask him to pit it up in the sorting office...he is so distinctive...someone must have seen him...also look out for small ads trying to sell a Bulldog...Tx
