What fantastic news ! I am so pleased. Haven't checked the site for few days so only just heard. I was out again over weekend and last night and I must admit was getting very despondant. It just shows that we should never give up hope. Do we know where abouts he was found ?

So pleased, welcome home Troy xxx

Absolutely brilliant !!! Many thanks to Majorjet who text me with this wonderful news whilst I was on holiday.I have spoken with his owner Ellison and its unsure whether someone had tied him to the bush or if he had got caught up on it. He was wearing an extendable lead so its very likely ist got caught up in the bush. The young couple who found him were tending horses in an adjoining field and a big thankyou to them for asking around to find out who Troy belonged to and then reuniting him via the number on his posters !!!Troy will be getting a chip and tag ASAP.Welcome home Troy and please stay safe from now on xx

Went out over the weekend but had no sighting. Put more posters up. Someone must have him as alot of dog walkers about and he would never let a dog or anyone walk past him without checking them out. Miss him loads.

HI Arborsette ! thanks for letting us know about the sighting by the lady you spoke to. Troy's owner is aware of your post and I have suggested she gets plenty of posters up in this area ... there will more people about over this Whitsun weekend which will hopefully bring more sightings ! Pam x

Hi,I rang with the possible sighting. I cycled around West Stockwith, Gunthorpe, Owston Ferry area last night. Stopped a couple walking their dogs who were staying on the caravan site at West Stockwith. The lady said she had seen a dog that "that looked like a wolf" walking through West Stockwith, this was last Saturday. No sightings while cycling around unfortunately. This area is bordered by the River Trent, maybe an idea to start a search in several places along the river, walking inland. Will go out again later today.

Lets hope Troy is found safe very soon.

Hi, I will cycle around West Stockwith/Owston Ferry tonight to look for Troy and put more posters up.

Do you think it is worth organising a search over the weekend? I would be willing to help if so. Arborsette

Will spread the word to dog walkers etc around Epworth, as its only a couple of miles up the road. It really is like looking for a needle in a haystack around here. Lets hope this boy gets home soon.

If anyone is looking for a white husky contact newark & shearwood council as the dog warden rang me yesterday morning to see if it was troy.

Thank you for your feed back. The dog on that link does look alot like him but that dog was found on 18/05 & some of the marks around the eyes are not correct.

Thankyou for putting the posters up, Troy was being walked in the fields between haxey and westwoodside near the old railway line. These fields go all the way to misterton, stockwith etc, He really could be anywhere.

Hi,
I'm not sure that these are two of the same but check this link to make sure this dog isn't Troy.

Would rather post the information and find it's not than not say anything.
Best of luck

Hi, I have put poster through letter box of the Vet's in Misterton tonight and put few posters up around the village. Will go out on my bike around West Stockwith/Owston Ferry area tomorrow evening after work.
Do we know which direction he ran off in?

Let's hope Troy is found safe very soon. Arborsette

Thankyou Mandym and Manna777 ! Sadly there has been no news at all of Troy since he ran off and his owner is very concerned he could have become caught up by his lead. She has been out searching for him, contacted dog wardens in the local area and further afield and contacted some of the stray kennels. Troy could have run off in any direction and may have covered some distance so I have given her the number for Carlton Forest so she can check with them too. Some postering has been done but I have advised to try to get media coverage and to also try to do as much postering as they can not only where he ran off from but much further afield to raise maximum public awareness.Hoping for some news of this boy very soon xLast edited: 2011-05-23 17:12:06 by Jumanji - Co-ordinator.South.Yorkshire

Hi have shared this with friends with dogs in Haxey - You probably have done but contact Scunny and Bassetlaw dog wardens the one is Bassetlaw is fantastic. Poster all dog walking areas and the area he went missing in + shops, post offices and bus shelter. Our boy went for 10 days at the start of Feb with no sighting and turned up in the small small hours at a friends house cold and thin, never give up and spread the word. Hoping your home soon Troy
