Rosie is back home with her dad !!!!!!

We had a phone call from a guy in the area where she went missing tonight, saying he had her and he kindly brought her over to meet up with her dad. No more details yet, but her dad's texted me to say it's def Rosie and she's home at last :D
Lurcher Link
Absolutely no sightings since then, but her dad's back from the US now and is out looking for her too.

Had a chap who knows her ring today saying he'd seen a lady walking a very similar looking dog on a lead, with the same scar on her side as Rosie. He was driving so didn't get to see very well, but it wasn't till he saw a poster he thought it could've been Rosie. It was this morning and on Keighley Road in the Ovenden / Illingworth are near the little Tesco Express opposite Beechwood Medical Centre. The lady was about 5ft 4in, light coloured skin , possibly African origin and around early 40s.I'll try to get some posters out around there but we have our dog show tomorrow, so I'll be mega busy. If anyone else in that area can do posters, please do. It's very near Rosie's home.

Just wondered when her daddy will be back froom USA.

Someone has rung to say there was a sighting of a red dog with white socks in the Shibden area today - walking along a wall- however this is a LONG way off Rosie's path so far, so it might be a different dog. Can anyone in the area keep an eye out please? I can't go there to look now as I've all the other dogs to see to.
Faye
Any news on the lovely Rosie this morning?
Lurcher Link
There's a fun fair setting up in Beechwood Park near her home now. I'm going to have a chat with the people there and take some posters, just in case they see her when they're camping there.

Btw Rosie is NOT wearing a collar, so if anyone is actively out looking for her, I'd advise taking a spare slip lead or a length of rope / washing line to act as a "lasso" if you get near her.

Come on Rosie lets have you home. Liz xx
Danny
someone has just phoned to say they saw Rosie behind Gimbels in Sowerby Bridge, Monday night.posters are now in all areas where Rosie has been seen.
Danny
Spoke with 2 of the owner's neighbors on Saturday morning, they are both looking out for her, one of the neighbors has a dog who knows Rosie, so if she does show up, she will be welcolme there.posters are up in the S. Bridge area and Homfield, spoke with many dog walkers on the park at Holmfield who know how to get in touch if she shows up in the park.
Faye
Hope Rosie is found this morning, she is so near homexxx
Lurcher Link
Sounds like she may be heading towards her home then. Wheatley is sort of between Sowerby Bridge where she went awol from and Holmfield, which is where she lives.Fingers crossed she makes it over here safely as the neighbours are looking out for her.

another sighting at 3.00pm yesterday now in wheatley...seen crossing pelham lane heading towards brackenbed lane.
Faye
Oh Rosie please be found, praying for your safe return, wish I was closer to help, stay safe lovely girl.

Just got back in from searching the area around Tuel Lane where she was last sighted but no luck :(

Checked along the canal between Luddendenfoot and Sowerby Bridge last night and this afternoon - will go back tonight when it's quiet with tuna in my pocket.
Lurcher Link
Someone's just rung who was trying to catch her on saturday around the Friendly area and she then bolted down towards Sowerby Bridge and the Wakefield Road area going on to the canal, where they lost her. He said she was running across Burnley Road but they couldn't catch her as she kept bolting off.
Lurcher Link
Rosie's owner rang me today. Although he's in the US he's following the sage on Facebook now he knows she's missing. He suggested trying to tempt her with tuna if she's spotted.

There may have been a sighting of her today in the Luddenden Foot area -still around the A646 Burnley Road area where she originally went missing from.
Lurcher Link
Just spoken to the people she's escaped from - they're concerned as they've not seen her for 24 hours now. Last sighting they had was in the Bairstow Lane area which is near where she went from. We have volunteers walking their dogs around that area but no sightings so far. It's heavy rain though so she may be holed up somewhere.
