We both want to thank you for all of the help and support you have shown us in our search for Wally. The help we have also from our friends locally has been overwhelming. He is fine and sitting here by the Aga waiting for a light supper. The DogLost posters were so helpful, and we put the last one on a notice board 20 mins before he was found.

So to all the other owners who are waiting for thier missing dogs, keep positive and stop everyone you see and give them a description of you dog, everybody we approached we very happy to keep a good look out and take our contact details. The runner that found Wally we had seen everyday that he was missing and he had our numbers in his phone. When we found Wally he cried as much as we did!! Thank you all Mel & David

Fantastic news.. Wally is home !! Owners had a call from a lovely man who was able to catch him on the Ridgeway, right by near where he went from!! He must have stayed nearby all this time. He is dehydrated and dirty and thin, but SOOO pleased to see his lovely owners, they have worked so hard to find him and Im REALLY thrilled . Welcome home boy, enjoy that scrambled egg tonight XXX Thanks to everyone who helped here, Im wondering now who the other dog could be ??Last edited: 2011-05-31 20:42:53 by Mollychops

I don't know if this is the same dog as it's quite away from last sighting. While out walking my dogs on the ridgeway near west Ilsley, I could see a dog running scared. It was at a distance from me, but I could tell it was very much spaniel, solid colour and it kept looking back and then veered of to the right, which is where I lost sight. I think my car made it come out of hiding and then paniced when seeing my dogs. Really hope your dog is found soon.

No further sightings since yesterday, owner has been out again since first light scentings and leaving food out. She is now going to broaden the search

Have you passed details to the MOD at the Shrivenham Campus? Plenty of people around there to keep an eye out. http://www.da.mod.uk/contact-us/finding-the-defence-academy. Hope Wally's home soon.

I have passed this to my email distribution list for Field Spaniels and Working Spaniel. Also posted and forwarded it on FB. Suggestions have come back that you contact a local radio station to get them to put information out there. There is also a lot of positive thought and prayers coming back to you to hope that he is soon found

Owners have heard of sightings of Wally at Compton Beauchamp and at Knighton, and they have been out searching since early on today. This poor boy was on a walk on the ridgeway when he was chased by an agressive dog, and he ran off frightened. Although his home is only 4 miles away, he is always driven to the ridgeway, and will not know where he is. I will email advice sheets and scenting instructions to owners

I will contact owners
