BBKM
If you print the posters off I can go to Donwell and poster for you and have a search at dog walking times x
dava the diva
ps also rang Cleadon kennels, gotta ring back 2moro when a girl called Sarah is back in. xx
dava the diva
Thanks girls, my hands are tied for postering just now. My next step was back to Springwell Estate and get right into the whole estate instead of just main roads. Over the weekend I will do my best and get to Donwell, dont know the area at all but Ill certainly give it a go. I really believe someone has him now and doesnt want to give him back. I rang Gateshead council 'clean up' section as well as the dog warden, Ive been in touch with Sunderland dog warden but not their clean up service. I'll try and ring them 2moro. Thanks again girls x
hello janey
this is such a little cutie someone in that area could well be keeping him! they do it all the time ;-( do think its feasable to be Marley maybe put an ad in the Evening Chronicle,,got lots of calls when mine was in ;-)

hello janey, i agree, it was a positive sighting of a dog by 2 ladies in the churchyard at Donwell Trinity church, a little black dog wanted to play with their dogs then ran off heading towards Donvale, but i always thought it wasn't Tia. I searched the area for 2hrs and I postered for Tia. Tia was next sighted at 2.30 Valley drive with no sightings inbetween, it didn't make sense for her to go from Felling to Donwell then back to Lowfell. I would heavily poster Donwell village area. If you need help dava let me know xxLast edited: 2011-06-08 20:13:25 by BBKM
hello janey
sunderland wardens take them to westhall kennels in cleadon,,and from experience they def check them for chips ;-) so if picked up you would get told,,on a sadder note have you also been calling the cleansing dept? just in case,,they dont inform you and only log the poor animal as dog,,so need to call every few days, did think that the possible Tia sighting in Donvale rd could have been Marley,,seemed to far for Tia to me at the time.Last edited: 2011-06-08 20:01:10 by hello janey
dava the diva
ps I never even thought about Sunderland wardens but now youve said it, it totally makes sense, especially cos of where he has gone missing from. I could kick myself for not thinking bout different wardens in another area. Wouldnt you think Gateshead dog warden could have mentioned it!!
dava the diva
Yes Marley is chipped and petlog were informed immediately. I will definitely try Sunderland wardens and also will ring about the one youve mentioned bazil. Thanks so much everyone xx
BBKM
Worth checking, just found this on animalwardens.co.uk Crossbreed, male dog, found at South Shields Tues 7th, ref 236549. tel 08452417253
Just remembered on Sat 21st May Tia was sighted on the central reservation at Whitemere pool, might have been Marley and he could have travelled down to South Shields, worth checking xxLast edited: 2011-06-08 00:51:15 by BBKM

Do hope Petlog have been contacted and you may want to contact Sunderland dog warden, if Marley has ventured to the Washington area then it will be Sunderland councils warden who needs to be made aware xx Good luck xx

Hi dava the diva ....... do you know if your friends have contacted Petlog to report that Marley is missing ? If not they must do this ASAP so that he will be 'flagged up' as missing on their system plus a note on his records to say ownership details ARE NOT to be altered. I take it that the owners contact details are up to date for his chip .......ie they have'nt moved or changed phones at all since he was chipped ? Thnaks to Bazil, Jill and Mandym for your help xLast edited: 2011-06-07 22:32:01 by Jumanji - Co-ordinator.South.Yorkshire

Thats great Jill thanks x

Hi, I am away for a couple of days but have been driving around Springwell, eighton banks etc before i start work at 7am in case someone is taking Marley for a walk. Home on Fri and will continue to search, hope there is good news before then.X
dava the diva
Thanks bazil. I was keeping up with Tia's whereabouts and had also done a page on fb but most people were still looking out for Tia. I have just assummed someone has taken him in cos of no sightings at all. I think you have a great point that some may have mistaken them. My friends ex describes him as a cross lab but I swayed him away from that cos I thought for some people that dont know bout dogs they may have concentrated on looking for a lab, hence Ive got him as a mongrel. He is a mix of everything, to me he is mostly patterdale with collie, to others he looks lab cross collie. I've postered Springwell village. Plan to do more 2moro around the Leam etc I will also put on his fb page that some may have mistaken him for Tia.....thanks soooo much xx

From the day Marley went missing we were looking for Tia around the Springwell/Village, Eighton Banks, Sherrif Hill, Felling and Low Fell and Allerdene areas. We were in all these areas nearly every day from then and he wasn't seen. We had sightings of Tia in Felling Sq and these are before Marley went missing. We did have a sighting of Tia in Donwell village, but we were never 100% about this being Tia as she was seen on this day (the mon) 7.30am in Felling Sq, then Donwell between 12-1pm then Valley drive at 2.30pm then nearly caught in Saltwell Cemetary at 7pm. The dog in Donwell (positive sighting of small dog) could have been Marley and the night before (Sunday) we had sightings of Tia in Springwell village, then on the path near the lines at Brysons. We just assumed this was Tia as we did not know Marley was missing?? Could Marley have been the dog on Sunday night at Springwell village and also Donwell Monday??? If Marley wasn't taken in by someone then maybe some of Tia's sightings could have been Marley?? The man who saw the dog in Springwell village described it as a small black labrador, Tia was way to small to be described as this? xx The dog I saw on Marsden Grove may or may not have been Marley. The one place I have forgot to take posters down from is Donwell, I am going there now to do. XXLast edited: 2011-06-06 21:16:38 by BBKM

Thanks again, still putting posters up, hopefully finished by 2moro, if no feedback then I will certainly do flyers or even just hand them a poster at their door around that area especially x
BBKM
I would definately start at that area as he was heading towards Marsden Grove. Still not 100% if it was Marley or not but worth checking. Where was it he was seen following the couple with Staffy? Have you got a flyer so when you knock you can hand the flyer to people who answer their door and say Marleys name. If he is in a house he may come running or bark. I usually copy and paste poster to a landscape word document with 2 columns, then shrink the picture down and take out some of the wording. You can get 2 on a page. Good luck, please update asap if you get any sightings x
dava the diva
Sooooo sorry everyone, laptop crashed!! OMG Bazil, that was the day Marley went missing 20/05/11, that sure sounds like it could be a possibility. Kids had left their gate open. Apparently someone seen him following a couple with a tan staffy but that was the very last anyone has seen him. Not sure if someone has got him would have known his name cos he didnt have his tag on(long story why he didnt)and posters with name on werent up. Its my friends dog an she lives on Aycliffe crescent. In my eyes marley looks like a cross patterdale terrier, so yes could look like a black jack russell cross, very possible. I will spread the word first thing in morning to look around that area. Do you think Marsden Grove is best place to look. I will knock on every door if I have to!! Thanks soooo much x

Have put Marley on twitter + will circulate.

I am at work all day today, but a lot of the staff from the QE live in the area so I will do what I can whilst at work! I am away next week and really hope Marley is home when we get back. May be able to do some posters tomorrow before I go. Fingers crossed he is home soon. x
BBKM
Jill you have just jogged my memory re the night I postered the co-op. I was on the Springwell and Wrekenton estates for over 3 hrs on the night of Fri 20TH May looking for Tia. dava the diva, is Marley a jack russell cross? I was out stopping people and showing them Tia's poster and asking if anyone had seen her. I can remember stopping a man with a puppy, and when I got home that night I remember saying to my hubby I had seen a gorgeous little puppy, but I am so sorry I can't remember if it was all black like Marley or more patchy black and white. It was a jack russell cross and I can't remember what he said he was crossed with??? Border Terrier comes to mind but I am not certain. My hubby even thinks I said the puppy was called Marley.(I was shattered that day I had been searching for Tia from Brysons area since 10am). This was about 8.30pm and he was coming off Springwell Road onto Marsden Grove. The man said he hadn't had him very long. How did Marley go missing and what time?
Jill
Out around Wrekenton and Eighton banks, along the popular dog walks, noticed your poster in the Co-op,the posters are a must, they certainly raise awareness and I recognised Tia instantly when I spotted here last week because of the posters.
BBKM
Has there been any sightings or possible sightings of Marley since he went missing? Need this cute boy to be sighted, how about drafting a flyer up and handing out or put on car windscreens on the estate and area. Worth a try. You can shrink his poster photo and wordings to a word document and make it 2 columns and copy and paste it to 2nd column. If you need help doing give me a shout x
Jill
Hi, I live and work in the area, watching for Golden lab, Marley and Bailey in the area. My dog was missing for 2 weeks, the chronicle ran a story for me and we got a phone call telling us where she was. Will get some posters and help out. Jill x
dava the diva
Thanks for that bazil, ive started spreading the posters and will try and get more out over the weekend. I truly believe that someone has taken him in x
BBKM
Have any posters been put up and have there been any sightings yet. I can help to poster if you get them printed off. If no sightings then it may be someone has taken Marley in. If you have taken Marley in he is not yours to keep!Last edited: 2011-06-04 12:27:01 by BBKM
