Just wanted to up date to say ,still no news on Ace we are heart broken but wont give up .Thank you to everyone that has let me know about possible sightings,he has to be out there some where .x

Hi, I have just got a little more info, and added it to Abi's profile! Just wanted to let you know too, as dad only saw the back end of the dog, so by what dad described, it is similar to Abi and Ace! I really hope these doggies are found very soon! xx

Following a posting about missing dog Abi by Amber I rang the police, and they have no record of attending a dog on the 16th, other than trying to catch the Husky I had also seen. A frightened dog had been found near Martlesham, and someone had called the police. Apparently the dog was brindle, although only seen from behind, so it could possibly have been Ace or Abi. I rang Pampered Pets, as all stray dogs from the Suffolk Coastal area are taken there. Again, she hasn't had any dogs admitted over the weekend. I then tried West End Kennels who look after stray dogs in the Ipswich area, and again, they've only had a puppy admitted over the weekend.
I'm afraid I have drawn a complete blank over this, so cannot find out whether it could have been Abi or Ace. I don't know if the police did actually attend, or did someone just call them and hope??? Perhaps whoever had found the dog decided to take it home???
Anyone got any other ideas please???

This dog has been re-united so sadly not Ace...but I'm pleased he has been re-united with his family x

Not been able to contact the owner so have E-mailed the link to her of the found dog and alerted her by txt.

Thanks millypod, I will alert Ace's owner, must say they do look similar although the found dog looks like he has more grey but it could be the light.

It looks like Ace may have shown up in a road called Corringway in Ealing London, my partner Mark (postman) & some workman put out food & water for a light brindle lurcher which was hanging about this morning apparently very thirsty & hungry, I've asked them to continue with food & water to keep the dog in the area, I have informed owner & dog warden has been called. Workman has Marks mobile if the dog shows up again.

There is a brindle boy up for re homing on the West Norfolk RSPCA site(see their site with a photo of him) but I am sure that they will have checked with this site and also for id.

Just back from going to the sighting area,heard about the possible false alarm,decided to drive around and followed through mannintree ,brantham ,sutton checked all posters and added more,the sighting shows they are working and I pray we will get another sighting

Been and postered in the most recent sighting area and spoke with some people, including a farmer who said that the sighting could have been of his lurcher as he goes out with it in the mornings in that area so, unfortunately but hopefully not, the sighting may have been a false alarm.

Just a had a sighting report. Last seen at 830am on Tuesday 14 June on the Clacton Road B1035 at the junction with the A120 (Horsley Cross Roundabout) at the water tower, heading into a field. Heading out today to put up posters in the area.

Been out again last night ,posters we put up saturday are still there thankfully apart from the one near the kennel.We have added more so fingers crossed .We walked the feilds that he has been seen in closer to the time he disappeared but no sign.

Have spoken to Ace's owner and have given her more advice including how to approach Ace if he is seen. I have also suggested that the Dog Warden is contacted just to let them know that Ace is still missing. There are loads of posters up in the area so hopefully we will have some news soon, stay safe Ace until you found xxx

Just been out for 3 hours putting posters up ,retraceing all the area and putting leaflets through peoples doors ,so hope it helps ,we chose all the footpath signs to put them up and village notice boards hopefully we will get another sighting as it has been too many days without a sighting x x

Hi sasbro, as far as I am aware there are no laws on putting posters on lamp posts, if somebody does object it would probably be your local council. I would be inclined to poster everywhere until you know different. I will E-mail general information including postering guidelines, hope this will help x

Hello i am the owner of Ace ,I have been around Mistley , Brantham,All surrounding areas.My aunty spoke to someone at Brantham wednesday who said he thought he saw Ace from our description at Mistley towers monday walking on a feild .All these areas are linked by feilds,so not impossible.I feel better when we are out looking for him.My husband road round all this morning closer to where he went missing,but unfortunatly no luck.We know we need more posters out there.Please does anyone know the laws for putting them on lamp posts.Thank you everyone for looking out for him,we all miss him terribly ad need him home x x

I can only go on what the kennel owners have told me and I know they are working very hard to find Ace, the most important thing in all this is to get him home x

This is such a sad story, the owners went on holiday with their little family, after putting the four dogs in the kennel, apparently ace went missing on the tuesday, and it was not until the saturday when the owners went to collect the dogs, that they were told ace was lost, four days later!! ace is a family pet and they are finding it so hard when the children are asking for him, it is heart breaking. Please keep searching everyone, as we are every day.

Sadly there has been no news of Ace.
He was lost from a kennels and the owner's were told immediately he went missing. The kennels owner's are doing everything they can to find Ace, they have been out everyday (and night) searching, putting posters up and leaving flyers everywhere. They are in daily contact with the owners.
I have suggested to widen the search area and put posters up further a field.

Hi TRACEY.G thank you for putting posters up for Ace, there has been no sightings of him since the 4th June and this was when he was seen heading up the A137 from Tattingstone towards Brantham and at the top of hill turning right over the railway bridge into Brantham along the A137
Posters are being put up further a field now incase he has moved out the area.

Have spoken to the owner's friend and they have been out postering the area, I have suggested to put an alert out on Suffolk Radio and also an advert in the local paper. We really do need to get some sightings of Ace. I have ran through what to do if Ace is seen, crouch low to the ground, no eye contact and throw food to him and back off etc. Hopefully we will have some news very soon xxx

I have just called the owner but she is out postering the area, the person I spoke to believes there has been more sightings of Ace in the area. I will call back later today.

Most important thing you can do is poster so everyone is aware. Secondly, if Ace is a runner, be careful not to chase him as you don't want him running further away nor anywhere near dangers i.e. railway lines, traffic. Posters can help you sight him and plot his course, but he may be scared as he's been out on his own for a bit. Poster to get sightings and when you see him, quietly try or wait for him to come to you. If this doesn't work we have other ways to help you - all tried and tested. But get those sightings in by postering everything! You may need to poster out a couple of miles or more in all directions. We had a greyhound at the beginning of the year who was doing an 8 mile circuit! You can get him home. Good luck! x
