- So pleased to hear Kia has been found. And please note everyone SHE WAS WEARING A COLLAR AND TAG WHICH ENABLED HER TO BE RETURNED TO HER OWNER IMMEDIATELY WITHOUT HAVING TO BE TAKEN TO THE DOG POUND BY A DOG WARDEN.

- "She bolted from an area in Bickenhall woods,nr Staple Fitzpaine, off the A358,it is a dense wooded area which opens out onto farm fields, this is where she ran off, when they park up they need to walk back for 50 yds(from the way they came) & go into the woodland walkway"!

Is this the same area twoDs ?
If so seems to be very dense woodland area , a Golf Course one side and what looks like a Lake the other ?Last edited: 2011-06-10 22:59:40 by Reynard - 2011-06-10 20:36 twoDs
- OK just heard that she isn't near either Chard nor North Curry but vanished from Ben's Copse,West Hatch - in a lane near RSPCA West Hatch.
- 2011-06-10 18:18 twoDs
- North Curry is 15 miles from Chard, need to know where she went missing - wonder if it's near the reservoir in Chard?Or if it's the woods between B3162 and B3167,near Alpine Grove holiday park?I'm working this weekend sadly so can't get over.

- I have just called the lady dealing with this ( co-ordinator for many Tears )on above number and she is in Wales, the fosterer of Kia has traveled up to Chard this morning and is helping the new owner search and other Many Tears fosterers in the area, at this time we dont have any mobile numbers or owners number & the email addy is of a friend of Many Tears .
Apparently the sound of the harness and a stretch lead behind her would have scared her loads
Hope she is found soon!
Good Luck!Last edited: 2011-06-10 22:39:51 by Reynard - 2011-06-10 12:12 calico

- Please check the undergrowth as she may be tangled up with her lead. We had a similar case here in Lincs a few days ago and it was by pure chance someone heard him bark and rescued him.

- Kia went missing from her new home whilst on a walk in woods in Chard Somerset, she was wearing a harness and extendable lead - she is very scared and must be approached carefully or watched from a distance to see where she goes. Please call the number above with sightings. (she is a Many Tears rescue dog) hope she is found soon. Liz xx

- Lizzy if you could find out or call the owner please, as not able to call now until this evening,,,Thanks x

- I think this dog is a Many Tears dog and still has the lead attached, she is extremely nervous of people she doesn't know. Liz xx

- Owners - the most important thing you can do is poster heavily in the area she was lost and leave something of your's there so she can smell you when she returns. Then start postering outwards from the area as much as you can. Dogs can go outwards a few miles, but usually come back again, or, some stay close, but you need to Poster, Poster, Poster!!! You will then get sightings and you are half way there to getting your lovely girl back home. x
