As a member you are already a helper and having had first hand experince of the trauma you will be able to assist other owners with support and practical help in postering etc, please make sure that your profile is ticked to allow email & posters - we can then email alerts out straight away to you.
The lilac Helpers are members who are now assisting coordinators with the massive task of contacting owners and emailing information to newly registered missing dog owners .

yea she looks abit worse for wear a min as she has been in a hole bless her but when she has a bath and fed her 3 days worth of food shes missed lol ill stick some pics up for you all and i was wondering how to join dogs lost as a helper or being a member am i already in the role

Wow, Owen, this is what I thought, how many pups ? and are they all okay ? One of my dog's Mum did this, took off under a hedge, when she was due, told the lady who's bitch she was, to get her inside asap.

HELLO SHE HAS BEEN FOUND BURROWED IN THE HEDGES AROUND OUR YARD THANK GOD WITH HER LITTLE OF PUPPIES WHO ARE NOW SUNGGLED UP WARM IN THE KENNELS WITH HEAT LAMPS AND THE APPROPRIATE CARE.

Owen, it's likely that Tara will have holed up under a bank or fallen tree or even in a cave, so please keep scouring the area, especially around where she was seen drinking.

Ive been a bit cheeky and tweeted link to @helicops who are flying over area obviously they are looking for people but they might sight a big black dog so worth a chance. Stay strong.

been out with the pointer taras mate to try and track her down but no luck police informed and they have said to keep an eye out just in case some one puts her for sale or advertises her pups if she has been picked up, hopefully some one will find her and have sense to call in to dog kennels or see a poster and call the numbers on their. FINGERS CROSSED GUYS

Have added #caerphilly as a placename and tweeted to @caerphillyobsvr - local paper @visitcaerphilly and @caerphillyCBC - council. Cannot find any taxi firms or estate agents. Might be an idea to ring around as Ive only sent a tweet...it is not an official contact.

thanks guys for all your help police are informed and we are checking the stray kennels again tomorrow fingers crossed she will be there or may had made her way home the yard.

sighted earlier today drinking out of a local spring...owner believes someone may have picked her up as she is imminent to whelp and can not walk that far...have asked for twitter alerts to go out...

hi we have searched hi and low on bike out in jeeps and out on the foot paths on foot and on horse back. she is approachable but needs to be back as she may become aggressive if an un know person trys to get her when she has pups.we are contacting the echo tomorrow and the police if anyone sees a dog like her phone us as soon as possible.

Jytte is quite right. We have had missing bitches in this condition on site before. I remember one being found in a hole she had dug under a garden shed, and another, a Malamute of all things, being found under a bed in the spare room where she had hidden!

Owen, when bitches are shortly due to pup, they will often go and try to find a place to "nest". Look under hedges, trees, sheds etc in locality from where she went. I have heard of several cases of bitches going off when their pups were due.They will dig a place to lie in. Good luck, hope she is found soon.
