I'm not sure if I am posting in the right place, but I would just like to let you all know that Molly has been found and is now home! She was picked up about an hour after she went missing, but because she was so excitable, they couldn't detect her chip at the time! Re-scanned today, and thanks to friends who saw an online ad of a tan staff being found, we now have her back! Thank you so much for all of your help, and keep us in mind for posting missing posters in the future!

Pecka - good to see you posting and thanks for alerting everyone on your Dog Watch list. I'm hoping that someone has taken her in or that she has been passed to SDK Environmental and is in the local holding kennel awaiting 'collection'. But good to know that she is both chipped and tattooed. If the owner is reading this, can you make doubly sure that Molly hasn't got caught in the culverted River Ravensbourne that runs through Queen's Mead Rec, especially as you (owner) has said that she rarely (or never) barks. She could be stuck somewhere and isn't able to let people know. I have also alerted Helper ellejay as she lives reasonably near to where she went missing. Fingers crossed that Molly is located today.

I have just spoken to a member of Molly's family. Unfortunately, there's been no sightings, telephone calls or information about Molly. If the owner hasn't already done so, they are happy for a mobile number to be added to Molly's missing poster, it's 07967 667 132. Also they would like some mini-flyers please. Molly is an ex-Battersea girl and they have been notified that she is missing. She disappeared at around 5pm yesterday, Saturday 18th June and has never done this before. However, Molly is very friendly and would go off with someone if they called her to them. She is also very friendly towards children, dogs and cats. Molly's owners' children attend Valley Road School which is not far from Molly's home (Blyth Road) and so word that Molly is missing will be spread around tomorrow. The family have notified Bromley Police who were VERY helpful which is nice to hear and have contacted SDK Environmental (obtained reference number). I have also given him the number for Lewisham's Animal Welfare officers as not too far from where she went missing. She is around 6/7 years old. Molly is normally taken to Queen's Mead Recreation Ground (Shortlands) for her walks and owner has looked there several times and has postered the immediate area including the nearby Council Estate (near to Homebase). I've suggested the Last Chance Charity Shop in Chatterton Road as I know they would be very willing to display a poster and keep a pile of mini-flyers on the counter (one of the other Helpers may be able to pass a poster to a volunteer who 'works' at the shop). Molly's owner actually works for Network Rail and so that part is already covered! He's in work tomorrow but he can be contacted on his mobile (as above). I have also advised him to contact Foxgrove Road vets as they provide 24/7 cover for practically ALL vets in the area.Last edited: 2011-06-19 22:48:57 by Millys Mum
