- Thank you zeffi' Had a few people come over to me while taking the remaining posters down thinking he had been found..Lots of people in the local areas have been worried about him and have phoned me on a regular basis asking for any news..Felt guilty throwing the posters away but there's nothing more i can do..Thank you to everyone who has left comments, put up posters and helped sharing his details..'Still thinking of you Aero' x

- Oh, hippy chick, this is so sad. You're a real true star, you've worked so hard to find poor Aero. Like you, I just hope he is safe and happy, and will be so for the rest of his life. xx
- 2011-07-19 22:46 Unknown
- Had an email today to ask me to remove posters due to the reward no longer covered through the insurance of the owner..I was hoping to get a little more time to try and find him..Got home an hour ago feeling a tad sad after removing most of them, but then came on here and read two wonderful reunited stories..Ruby and Rinty..Amazing the lengths people will go to to find there dogs..I really hope that Aero has been taken in and is safe and happy..Will be taking the remaining posters down tomorrow.. :(

- Done yet another round robin of vets, rescues, AW, council and local RSPCA..Will do Network rail and the highways again tomorrow...

- Hi Happy Chick , i was just come on to say the dog i put below is reunited. Hope you find Aero very soon x
- 2011-07-14 11:53 Unknown
- Hi Lisad and Maggie....The dog from SK2 was reunited with the owner last Saturday..I have spoken to the AW three times to ask them why it isnt showing as reunited and they have said its an IT problem..Phoned this morning and they said they will look into it again!!!!..I also found out the dog from SK15 (unknown gender) has now also been reunited..Its very frustrating when things like this happen especially when we are living in hope that it could be the dog we are looking for..I ONLY HAVE UNTIL THE END OF JULY to find Aero as the owner has now decided she wants all posters removing..She now has another dog and wants to move on from it. I would of carried on searching for him but my chances of finding him without any posters are quite slim, but i have to respect the owners decision...Last edited: 2011-07-14 13:12:33

- Hi hippy chick, got back from my hols today and am sad to see Aero isn't home yet. Nothing to report, I'm afraid, just wanted to say dont lose heart. When Benny was missing, someone I gave a poster to, told me their dog was AWOL for 6 months before turning up fit and well having been taken in by someone. I know its a long time, but dont give up x

- Hi hippy chick. Got a feeling the one is Dukinfield is called Sam. There is a lost that has gone on as reunited in the same area. Oh well, we'll keep looking :)
edit: sorry hippy chick didn't add details as you posted that you had already checked both dogs with the AW. I contacted the AW first thing about the found in Dukinfield and they told me that he was chipped and his owners were picking him up from MDH today :)Last edited: 2011-07-04 23:32:12 by Jackalee (Kathryn) - Area Co-ordinator - Greater Manchester - 2011-07-04 09:06 Unknown

- Have FB'd. Also printed off some posters to leave around the place on Sunday, it's the Marple Lock Festival from 10:00 until 16:00 so a good time to reach locals. Will replace any posters I see that look worse for wear.

- Thank you Fletcha..Its really nice to hear people are looking out for him..I have found out today that there was a sighting of a black labrador on the Ridge on the 9th June, but that was 20 days ago..Im surprised ive had no information from the posters, as i have covered quite a few areas..If you need any posters to put up on your travels let me know' Thanks again :)
- 2011-06-29 11:25 fletcha
- Hi, I live in Marple Ridge area and walk the canals on a regular basis with our black lab. We are keeping a sharp eye out and have checked over the walls on the tow path and other areas. We have recently been around Strines, Hague Bar, Mousley Bottom, New Mills as well. Keep yer chin up!
- 2011-06-28 20:02 Unknown
- Network rail have confirmed no incidents between the 6th June and upto yesterday for the areas he might of travelled through...I have also sent a local radio station an email to see if it can get some air play..Will do a poster run tomorrow to check all are still up...

- Hippy Chick you are doing a brilliann job in the search for Aero. The posters and getting him in the paper are the key to sightings of him. Very often a finder does not know what to do when finding a dog and realise that they should report them as found to the DW. Keeping everything crossed we see him in the blue soon. Good luck. Jan x
- 2011-06-26 23:51 Unknown
- Hi Lisad...Yes' not too far away, im from Marple Bridge :)
- 2011-06-26 23:41 Unknown
- Thanks for the support Jackalee' I did some of the woodland areas today, just incase he may of slipped and hurt himself somewhere, but nothing that i could see..I have managed to get him in the local paper via the RSPCA Stockport so fingers crossed..Going to do the round robin again of vets, rescue centres, wardens etc. Although ive phoned them that much, they all know me now.. :)
- 2011-06-26 19:07 Jackalee (Kathryn) - Area Co-ordinator - Greater Manchester
- Don't lose heart hippy chick, you are doing a fantastic job. Hopefully someone has taken him in and he is being looked after. I'm sure the posters will bring some good news soon :) x
Lisad - I had no idea you were so close, I am in Carrbrook :) - 2011-06-25 21:59 Unknown
- I have now covered all the surrounding area's wih posters..(about 200) The open fields, woods and canal are proving hard to check with minimal help..I cant understand that NO ONE has seen Aero since the day he went missing..It will be 3 weeks on Monday..Im really worried about him...Any ideas welcome...Thanks lisad for ur help, ive done all your suggestions and trying to get him the local paper this week... :)
- 2011-06-25 18:53 lisad
- I'm in Mottram - its a fair way away, but you never know. Will put some posters up and keep an eye out for him when I'm walking mine.
You've probably already done this, but ask at all the local shops, pubs etc. If I'd have done that when mine went missing I'd have found him within an hour. Ask posties and binmen - people who are out and about a lot.
Best of luck - hope he's home soon x
- 2011-06-24 18:24 Unknown
- Thanks to all so far...x
- 2011-06-24 18:11 Unknown
- His owner lives in Hale Cheshire, so nowhere near Marple Ridge..Although he has been to Brabyns Park when she has visited Marple Ridge before..I only found out he was missing this week, so there have been 2 weeks of no real searching..Ive put posters in Brabyns Park, Roman Lakes and started on the canal..Eddie has but a few up at Strines, Marple and New Mills..The railway line runs through the areas he might of gone aswell so reported it with Network Rail today and they will get back to me in the next 48hrs..I am really concerned with the amount of area that is involved..He is a rescue dog aswell with insecurity problems..Three weeks is a long time with no sightings..So worried about him..No he isnt neutered :) Last edited: 2011-06-29 10:51:14

- Do we know where he lives, in case he is trying to make his way home? Last night I drove along the ridge and parked by the old quarry but didn't see any posters. Will put some in my car before I go out next time. Also, is he neutered? may he have scented a bitch on heat? Is he motivated by food?Last edited: 2011-06-24 12:53:53 by ssslopbucket

- Sorry to see that AERO is missing.
- If your dog is microchipped please let the microchip company know that your dog is missing and check that all details are up to date.
- Owners targeted by a malicious hoaxer demanding money for the return of their dog should phone the police on 101 immediately and contact admin@doglost.co.uk
- A photograph of your dog is essential for the website. If you have not already uploaded one, please do so by clicking on Update details. Alternatively you can email it to admin@doglost.co.uk quoting the dog's DogLost ID number: (30556)
- Obtain a missing poster by clicking on View poster above. Posters are very important so start postering now!
- You will need to be logged in to upload photos, edit your dog's details, or add comments. You can add comments by clicking on Click here to add a comment.
- Contact dog wardens, vets and local rescue centres, and in Scotland, the Police. Give a detailed description with any distinguishing marks/scars or send them a copy of your DogLost poster. You can find vets in your area here.
- If your dog has been stolen inform the police immediately and obtain a crime reference number (CRN). Send an email to stolen@doglost.co.uk.
- If your dog is picked up and taken to rescue kennels, it can be legally re-homed after seven days. Visit rescue centres in person and do not rely on checking by phone alone. Other people may not recognise your dog by your description, so give them a DogLost poster.
- Keep us updated by keeping your dog's page up to date and check for posts from helpers who may have suggestions and possible matches or sightings
- DogLost is free and anyone asking for money to find or return your dog is not volunteering for us. If you are concerned about an approach you have received, please email admin@doglost.co.uk
