- Thanks for update Nicky
Glad she is ok xxx - 2011-07-01 20:35 Nicky
- Jess is doing very well. She was a little thin, and smelly (!) but other than that, no ill effects!! She is at last back home with Chris and her Mum. Such a fantastic ending to this, couldnt ask for a better outcome. The support that was received was also unbelievable! The people of St Austell were all out on the look out for Jess, and the sightings and calls made were fantastic. Thank you to all that were involved. This couldnt of had such a great outcome without you all.

- ZZ would have reunited Jess (turn her to the BLUE) but the internet has gone down, so ZZ will post ASAP!
"Jess made her way back to the clay pits to-day and the brilliant guys from IMRYS that work the clay pits manage to coax her over, & were able to catch her"
Well done Guys and Nicky xxx
Welcome back Jess xxx

- Yes, im positive that having Rolo (jess' mum) will be perfect. Have got fantastic help from a lady called Trisha, who is calling Chris tomorrow to help in the search, and I believe John from the clay pits is also helping there. Trisha visited Roche Road this evening, and planted food for Jess. This may keep Jess local overnight. Have asked Trisha to text me updates tomorrow if any sightings, and will post on here as and when I get them.

- Very positive news Nicky. It is always a problem persuading people to curb their enthusiasm and take a 'softly softly' approach. I have suggested to Chris that she makes it very clear on her new posters that people must not chase Jess as she will run. She will be down again tomorrow with the other family dog, who will be scenting, scenting, scenting, in the hope of holding Jess in that area, and eventually drawing her in.

- BUMPED...come on you little minx...time to get home...

- Jess has been seen yet again in Roche Road at lunchtime today. When she was called by name, she bolted. Nobody approached her, nor chased her, just gently called her. And she ran. Great news, but at the same time so frustrating.

- Hi ZZ. Thanks for your comments. Im not sure if you already know, but last night Jess was seen actually in Roche Road, which is where she ran from. I dont know the distance from Roche Road to Little John Clay pits, but I hope they are near, which means Jess is circling round.

- No further sightings. Jess may have been spooked by so much activity. Given the mix of desperation and excitement it is so hard for people, owners especially, to just pull back and give the dog some space. I believe they even found where she'd been resting up. I have advised them to leave out feed stations, but then to pull back and hope that she comes back again when all is quiet. Hoping she hasn't been frightened into leaving the claypits. - Thanks ZZ for all your help!! Sorry if i sounded desperate on the phone, asking you to call Tim!! I couldnt ring him quick enough, as you know was stuck at work with customers in Hampshire!!! Im 100% sure Jess will be found tonight or tomorrow. Kind clay pit staff have allowed all 5 searchers to stay in pit overnight to continue search. All 5 searchers there will do whatever it takes. Food station is set up, as you advised. All just praying. Thank you again. Will keep updates on here, I will have update in morning to post, fingers crossed the search will be over.

Good Luck! - 2011-06-25 20:11 ZZ - Area Volunteer, Cornwall
- Just spoken to Chris (owner), and advised further. This is the best lead so far, as there have been several positive sightings of Jess in this small area. Bumping her up.

- Good to talk to you earlier, Nicky, thanks for all your help. Have advised that claypit staff do not chase her, as we ideally need to hold her in this area. Have advised feeding station, and that people back off to let her feed - hope this is being done.

- update: all family and staff of clay pits have met on site, and are driving around in land rover searching. Will be there overnight if necessary. Last seen there lunch time. Now just got to catch her!!!

- zz- telephone number is correct for the address where Jess escaped from. Owner is out searching all day, but I can ask her to call you, where should she phone? Jess' owner is named Chris cash. You can always contact me also if no response from that number. Im on 07930 279794. People have been a fantastic help in getting the word out. All local radio stations have announced, and people putting posters up for me. Thank you for your kind help
