Really pleased to see this news. Bumped into the daughter and her dog who were out searching yesterday whilst walking our 4 and she was so worried, bless her.

Have just spoken with actual owner who returned home from hol last night to find daughter telling her that Syke had escaped from his home around 7.30pm last night. He's elderly, doesn't bark - has a funny yap, no collar as irritation round his neck. He is CHIPPED to another address in Bristol but this person would have now moved away. They do not know the chip co but may have been Viking Vets Henbury who implanted it. The actual owner is distraught and lizzyc is at work all day so ANY HELP POSTERING would be much appreciated. DW has been notified but if poster could be sent to dogs home please?? I'll drop a poster in local vets.

Could we have the cropped picture as the main one please just so it doesn't look as though we're looking for the white and tan dog. Thanks.

Too late now will contact in the morning - I work in BS13 so will be travelling there tomorrow morning. I will put posters up in work in The Pavilions on Bridgwater Rd. Have shared on my fb.
Lizzyw, you need to get posters out immediately and plaster the area - has Syke gone missing on a walk, escaped from home or been stolen?
If you have not already done so, you need to report him to the Bristol DW, also call and send his poster to Bristol cats & dogs home and go there in person to check the dogs as they will not always know the dog from your description; send poster to Holly Hedge and local vets (esp Avon Lodge in Bishopsworth). Police are not responsible for missing dogs now but it maybe worth popping into Bishopsworth police station as a lot of PCSOs work out of there and go on foot; ask local shops/pubs to put up posters, also the local schools as children are now out after school and notice things. Good luck, I'll call you in the morning.
