ah...happy Friday x so glad he has been found, those retractable leads are not good - if the owner wants him to be able to go a bit further a field from her then please use a heavy duty washing line.....and keep hold of the end :) - KOBI you are now Grounded - x

What are you doing Kobi.... you had me really worried there, was just logging on to see if you had really been found as you are on the blue page but comments were still saying you were missing. Then by the time I had logged on there you were...I'm crying now but I'm so happy you've been found again...was wondering the other day how you were getting on now, so hopefully Ann might put us some new photo's up and an update.. you stay safe and at home now, no more running off xxxx

Delighted to say that just a few minutes ago Kobi was found. A young lad in a family of travellers across the road from where he lives found him and took him home. Wonderful. We will all sleep tonight. Poor Anne, the owner has not slept a wink or eaten anything since he went missing.
celtfae
Spent a couple of hrs with Anne last night looking. Rain was bad so poor Kobi was probably in hiding... so very sad to see his bed & toys:(...Liz
DogLostLostdogs ScotlandSable - Regional Co-ordinator - Scotland
I know that is the worrying thing. Owner has searched the undergrowth high and low but it is hard to cover everything. I was kinda hoping he could manage to chew through the lead if he is stuck. He is wearing a bright yellow Ferplast ercocomfort harness, so surely that would help to show him up in the undergrowth.Last edited: 2011-09-22 11:18:10 by Sable - Regional Co-ordinator - Scotland
AlisonH
Poor Kobi he must be so scared. With the extendable lead attached he is probably caught up in the undergrowth somewhere. Hope he is found soon.
labradorloopy
I really hope Kobi is found - but ,please could other owners be aware that an extendable lead is not recommended for ex-rescue dogs, especially nervous ones. It is difficult to maintain a good grip if a dog bolts, far better to use a long-line.
DogLostLostdogs ScotlandSable - Regional Co-ordinator - Scotland
Owner has been out searching last night and through the night, but no signs of Kobi.
Unknown
Oh this awful..Please be found Kobi..Hope the owners get some help..If i lived near i would be there like a shot..He's been through enough..
DogLostLostdogs ScotlandSable - Regional Co-ordinator - Scotland
Worst thing is he has bolted with his harness attached and a heavy extending lead.It has been lashing with heavy rain, and high winds and is vey cold there, so I am hoping he comes out of hiding when the weather calms. His owner has been out all night searching and this morning too. Just hope he is not trapped by his lead somewhere.

can't believe he is out there again........so sad to see his name again after what he has been through

Eye is still causing a problem. What a sweet boy. I am sure in time, the love and care he is getting will bring out his personality.

We have all been watching, wishing and hoping for Kobi's health to return to as well as it can be,after all that this poor wee boy has been through, and we are all delighted that he is picking up so quickly. He must be a hardy wee soul. It's just what is going on in his head that needs be sorted out now, and this may take longer than the physical scars, but with your love, TLC & and understanding Anne, he will come round in time. Goodness know what he has been through before you gave him a home and then he had all this to deal with too. He deserves all the best - bless him.
**Just letting you all know that Kobi was picked up as a stray with a severe skin condition - sarcoptic mange- and had to go through a long period of care to get that right before he went up for re-homing and Anne got him. He has been through a lot.
Anne
I was amazed at getting my boy back and felt Kobi and I had angels taking care of him.Little did I know `till this happened there are angels on earth as well!!Words can not express my gratitude to all who have supported us,by kind wishes! Now also thanks to the donations, the vet bill will be paid in full sooner than I could have managed. How can I thank you all enough xxxxxxxxxx

Lovely to see a new photo of Kobi..He is a true star! The owners must be doing a grand job..Love to all :)xxx

Not commented yet but have been following this story wth much sadness. I can't believe a vet would actually refuse to attend a dog in this situation, makes me wonder how they chose their profession - it was unforgiveable! I will make a donation as soon as paypal has verified my acount - meantime stay safe Kobi.
Vizsla55
OMG! Just seeing his little face and up and walking !! You are a star wee little man. You have made my morning. Sending loads of cuddles and love.xxx

Have just donated to Kobi on dog lost Scotland's page.... so pleased he's made it home but so sorry what you and Kobi have been through... If you want to donate to help Kobi's fund, I've been told the vets bill is already at £1800 and you don't use PayPal get in touch with Lostdogs-Scotland and they will give you details to send direct to their account. I don't like putting my details on the internet (silly I know, but I am so cautious) so will be making a donation that way.
Love and hugs to Kobi. xxLast edited: 2011-07-12 22:17:00 by Sable - Regional Co-ordinator - Scotland

This is all so heartbreaking, poor Kobi.Thank goodness he was found in time and that he has such a wonderful caring new owner.Shame on those who wouldnt help him initially-suppose to be animal lovers ?Wonder if they are in the right jobs!!! Sending love and huggs to you beautiful boy and you family xxxx

This is so, so sad he looks so pathetic poor little chap. He is so lucky to have been found in time to save his life, not many of our darling pets survive being hit by a train. Sending loads of love and healing thoughts to you dear Kobi. I am sure that you will soon be feeling brighter, stay strong little man you are obviously much loved. xxx
Teddys Mum - Area Volunteer, West London
This is so very heartbreking but Kobi is obviously a tough little boy with an incredible owner who loves him. Nice a vet pulled out the stops for him. Sending you healing thoughts little one, keep fighting. Life can only get better for you now.
Julie B
I find this so upsetting to read. I am so glad that Kobi has been found but really distressed at what the little fella has had to go through. He does look so poorly in the new pic, but he has proved he is a fighter and with lots of love and care from his family he will be feeling a lot better very soon. Lots of hugs to you Kobi .... and keep fighting. Julie xxx
DogLostLostdogs ScotlandSable - Regional Co-ordinator - Scotland
An updated photo of Kobi. He's having a snooze. God love him - he looks so poorly.
Maggie
Happy to help with the vets bill, but the site seems to only allow PayPal (which I don't use) so I've sent an email asking Lostdogs Scotland if cheque acceptable & also to see if they are registered for gift aid - I just love using some of the taxmans money to help dogs in distress!
Thinking about Kobi and sending positive thoughts, sounds like he's a fighter and deserves a happy ending. To Anne, don't be suprised, there are a lot of people out here who love dogs & don't forget you are one of them otherwise Kobi wouldn't be getting this chance.
DogLostKimmybear - Area Co-ordinator, Essex & Hertfordshire borders
I didn't know if I could bear to read this as it is so heartbreakingly sad. Railways make me angry; Vets make me angry; SSPCA make me angry. All Vets take an oath to help any animal in distress, regardless of whether money is forthcoming and as far as I can see these Vets need to be taken before the Veterinary Board to account for their non-action regarding a dog that could not have been in a worse distressed state. So very glad Kobi is doing well, he so deserves a loving home and life. Do we know how his head injury is, apart from his eye? Poor little boy. He may well be traumatised too. Bless you Kobi sweetheart, you are such a strong, beautiful boy. With love, Kim x

Poor, poor chap. I hope he is not suffering now and that he realises that he is safe. Is there a fund so that people can donate towards his treatment costs or are the new owners able to pay? I would certainly be willing to donate. Also hope the vets who wouldn't treat him are ashamed of themselves :-(

Exactly Leona. This is all going to be investigated by Kobi's owner who is feeling very angry about it. A dog in that condition needs treatment immediately and it is not known how long he had lain there before being found by railway staff.Poor poor wee man.

Oh so sad, why would no vet attend him fgs!!!! Come on brave Kobi you pull through, youve got a wonderful new life ahead of you, and you will manage fine with 3 legs - sending you lots of healing thoughts xx

Hi is going to lose his leg for sure if he pulls through, as he has a head injury too. That is all the information the owner has at the moment.
