Wouldn't the possible sighting in Station Road, HESKETH BANK, be after the one in Riverview, TARLETON, if so would this not be better on the poster? Will check later before printing of posters.

If someone is keeping him, he is safe and still out there. This would be good as we just need to make Spudley so famous with millions of posters that they have to give him up! Please tell owner that dogs really DO come back even after months! Good luck everyone, let's get Spudley back home. x

Matthew seems pretty sure that he see Spudley with a man on Station Road around 2-3 weeks ago. On speaking to Shaun the owner he has lost all faith in finding him now, believing that someone is keeping him in their house :( I have told him to not give up on this, but he is so downhearted about it all.
Sandra R
Iam not on facebook,so can't look these pages up, can someone confirm what they actually say? If spudley was seen with someone in Hesketh Bank, I would have hoped after seeing posters they would have returned him to owners. Is it worth re postering?
DogLostMajorjet (Jan) - Area Co-ordinator - Liverpool/Merseyside, North West
Thanks Matthew for coming on DL and posting re the sighting if you could contact owner direct it would be greatly appreciated. Jan x

Sandra R

Someone who lives in the area has posted on 'Kim come home' facebook page that they may have possibly seen Spudley, advised they try and contact the family, I've also alerted Jwhite1964 to the posts. Jan x

Drove round Banks this morning, no sign of Spudley. Left a poster at Garden Centre, and postered dog walks either end of Village, didn't see any other posters!! Poster outside Tarleton High School, seems to have gone missing as well. Can only suggest owner keeps re postering untill Spudley safely home.
jwhite1964
Spoke to Owner this morning. Recently had 4 sightings in Banks on 4 consecutive days. One was a lady saying the JR followed her with her dog. Another was a postman. What I don't understand with these sightings is why they are not trying to capture the JR that is out alone as if this is Spudley he is friendly. Also had 3 crank calls!! Advised Owner to get more posters out. He stated that some of the posters he has put up have disappeared too!!! Let's hope and pray that we find him. xx
Sandra R
Keep looking to see if there is any news on Spudley has there only been the one sighting (was this def. him). he can't just have disappeared into thin air. Is there anything else I can help with. Is there any cameras in the car park, that could be checked for footage?
jwhite1964
Jan thank you so much for your help too. xx

Spoke to owner this morning, gave numbers which I had kept from previous 'lost' dogs on this site, hope they were of help.

Just spoken to owner's father on the above landline number. Spudley was in the car when owner popped into a local shop when he returned Spudley had gone. Will update details to show up on the poster and email further info/advice to owner's father. He will try and get some more photo/s to us a.s.a.p.

jwhite1964 as you are helping owner in his search I will also send you the same info/advice email. Will also do various size posters and email to you and owner's father.

Sandra R thank you so much for all you are doing to help find Spudley. Keeping everything crossed his is found soon. Jan x
jwhite1964
The only dogs home number that I had was Leigh. Do you have anymore Sandra?
Sandra R
Sorry spudley isn't home yet, just a thought he could have gone up the river or canal either way, from the back of riverview. Have you tried all the dog homes rescues etc in the area, the worrying thing is if he is in one of these he can be rehomed after 7 days!! Will keep a look out on my daily walks.
jwhite1964
Hi Sandra, sorry have been away weekend. Returned last night but informed that no other sightings have been made of Spudley :( I have looked on Rochdale Rescue site and this is not him unfortunately. I have spoken to the local Dog Wardens and Leigh Dogs home and no reportings either. :(
Sandra R
Any more sightings of Spudley? kept a look out for him on my walk, this morning. Have found phone numbers of local dog wardens, leigh Dogs Home and others, if you haven't already got them, I can let you have them. There is a tan and white JRT on Rochdale Rescue site, don't think its Spudley but worth a look. Think the number of South Ribble council is 01772 625676, Leigh Dogs home 01942 671215 . jwhite1964
Thanks Sandra, you are a star :)

Rode round Riverview, spoke to a man with a Flatcoated Retriever, who was also looking for Spudley, but no sign of him. Only saw one poster by the Coop, so postered Riverview, High School, Carr Lane playing fields, and St Marks Square car park. Hopefully someone seeing posters may have taken him in, and return him to his owner.
jwhite1964
Hi Sandra, thank you so so much. It is def. called Riverview so must be that one you mentioned. Again thank you x
Sandra R
Not sure of a Riverview Estate, but there is a Riverview near Traleton High School, will go for a ride round, take some more posters with me.
jwhite1964
Sandra it is called the Riverview Estate where dog was sighted. He DID have a black collar with studs on it, when originally went missing, so not sure obviously whether this has been removed. Tail not docked and not neutered. :)
jwhite1964
Hi Sandra, will find out def. sighting for you. :)
Sandra R
Were sighted in Hesketh Bank?, I could go and help with search. Have walked dib lane and RSPB bank this morning no sightings there. Postered these areas.
jwhite1964
Thank you to all that are helping in find Spudley. Possible sighting Hesketh Bank area, a lady see a jack with a patch and went over to it, but it ran away. Owner now out searching area. Will keep u all posted.
jwhite1964
Still no news on Spudley. I have spoken to Dog Warden (West Lancs) they referred me to a dog's home. Spoken to Vets in Tarleton. Hesketh Bank/Tarleton website have also kindly put a post on there. His owner is sadly missing him, like we all would be if our own dogs :(
TerenceT
I have posted Spudley's details on Twitter
Sandra R
Will poster Hesketh Bank dog walking areas tomorrow, and Vets, down Hesketh Lane, going to Rufford Vet. at Southport Friday morning so will take one there, hopefully he will be safely home by then.
