There have been no more sightings of Rosie for ages now. Hope she is safe somewhere.

How very strange. Any ideas on what it could be making it so scary for the dogs? I have had no updates of sightings etc. recently.

I had initially posted in reply to this owner's post on pistonheads website and have been keeping a close eye on developments on this site.
Unfortunately, I have not been one of those to have seen Rosie despite my daily evening walks in the park covering quite a large area of it.
One of the odd things, and I am unsure of it's significance is that my dog, who has never 'bolted' in his life at the weekend bolted from me at the car park between pollok house and the field - I did manage to get him back. After having left it a few days, I walked him on the lead at this point, we once again got to the car park, he stopped still and was hauling at me to get back home. If he hadn't been on the lead, he would have bolted again..... I wasn't hearing any noise at all so I am not sure what is happening there.
Sounds like this may have been the same area in which Rosie was lost?

Pollock park is an absolutely huge area to cover and it is diffficult to pin down where Rosie is.

Put smelly food down, ie Pichards, dusk and dawn and sit and watch her come for it. Lay down and whimper and she will approach. Hope you get her soon.

Have spoken to Rosie's owner today and advised to let the DW know about the sightings, as a trap may be required to catch Rosie, if she is frequenting the same area in the park.Last edited: 2011-07-13 09:08:50 by Sable - Regional Co-ordinator - Scotland

I can hardly believe she has been in the park all this time, and there have been few sightings until now. However, it is great news.

She was spotted again today in another area of the park. More posters now up around the entrances to the park and on message boards. Looks like shes stayin in and around the park area, just need that luck of bumping into her!

Right, she was spotted today in Pollok park near Pollok house around about the food areas. She was spooted here a few times over the weekend when the park rangers tried to catch her but shes really timid so ran away. Was up earlier but no sign. I'm at work from 6til 6 each day so trying to send up someone shes familiar with to wait during the day. Will keep this updated, at least its a sighting!!

Hopefully someone has her, as there is no evidence of anything else having happened. Some more media coverage and postering may bring a result. People often think an older dog has been dumped (which is a common occurrance) and hang on to the dog thinking they are doing a good thing, but they should be reporting it to the local authorities where details have been left by the owner.

Just a wee update. Put an ad in the evening times today and a woman text my mum saying that she was walking in Bellahouston and fed a dog matching Rosie's. Another couple in the park said that they'd take the dog to the Helen St police station. Phoned them up after work but they've had no dog in. Tried Pollok to no avail as well so will try cat and dog home tomorrow.
