I agree with Border Collies. The main thing is that Sonny has been found safe. Hopefully he is now in a family home where he will be dearly loved and cared for as that is the least he deserves. x
BorderCollies
Unfortunately dogs can be very clever when they want to escape and people don't anticipate the creativity of a dog when it comes to getting put. Especially when dogs have been rehomed and are new to their new home. Nobody is at fault as dogs disappearing usually happens so quickly and unexpectantly.
I am glad that we have Doglost and it's volunteers. Many a dog and owner would never have been reunited without both!

I would just like to say I was not the person who lost Sonny, I was the person in the middle. I was the person who got Sonny put on Dog Lost and along with my wife spent the day searching the fields, driving the country lanes and postering the area and then when he was found taking the posters down eventually finishing at 10pm. We only had help from our friends at Team Eva, Thank you so much.
Vanessa said the man told her when he turned up with Sonny there was no way he was taking him back home. Vanessa called me to take him for her as we do some rescue work. We would not have rehomed him without the relevant paper work, which we understood Vanessa was waiting for.Vanessa then came to walk sonny on Friday evening and met some friends, who also have a Whippet. They liked him and Vanessa said that they could have him
We offered for them to keep my dog tag on him until they got their own and they said no they would put one on when they arrived home, this they didn't do.
My wife and Bonny Lee have spoken and she has been told all this.
Really happy that Sonny was found quickly. He is a lovely boy.

Thank goodness that there are people out there who are prepared to step in and help for other people's dogs :-)
Goldenfrodo
So pleased this lovely boy is staying with you xx

Bonny_Lee, I am so glad that Sonny will be staying with you - he is a gorgeous little fella and I am sure with lots of love and cuddles from you he will feel back to his happy self in no time. x
Bonny_Lee
Sonny is back home with me, I picked him up last night.
He will NOT be going anywhere again, I was assured that this person had a lovely home for him and a dog proof garden..and she gives him to another party !! *******
Fortunately he is unscathed, bit confused poor chap, but glad to be back.

Poor Sonny, I am glad that he has been found safe - but he must feel so unloved after being passed around. He looks so cute but confused in the pics. I hope that his previous owner decides to keep him after what he has been through or if not finds him a loving family who will give him all the love he so deserves. xx
Bonny_Lee
Hi, I am Sonny's owner, he was rehomed to a woman called Vanessa, who promptly gave him to someone else instead of letting me know she didn't want him, I have been out all day, and my daughter has been contacted and she has tried to get hold of me all day. He is at a Vet Surgery in Caterham, as he was found legging it up the road in Smallfield area. I am going now to pick him up. She should be ashamed of herself...
BorderCollies
Oh, now there is a thought ;-) So glad Sonny is safe and well.
Suziewoo
Can I suggest that next time we try to arrange a "Team Eva" reunion, we just sort out a date rather than get another dog to go walkabout? xx
BorderCollies
I think he just did this to get the "Team Eva" back together ;-)
Suziewoo
Such a relief & sounds like he is OK. Now stay safe, young man xx
BorderCollies
Yeah, Sonny was found and taken to a vet to be scanned, I suppose. Excellent news :)
Suziewoo
What a gorgeous looking boy - really hope he is found safe & sound very soon. I have shared this with my brother who lives along the road & we drove round Cogman's Lane earlier but didn't see him. I'm available tomorrow if you need a hand postering or leafleting. Just let me know what I can do to help.
Spindle
Texted to offer advice.

I have been and searched around the fields at the back of the house and friends have driven around the area. I am now going out to poster the area
