THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!! WE HAVE OUR PURSEY BACK!!!

Sorry this is going to be a long one... but i had started to think that after 4 days we were not going to get him back. However a flyer in a garage 8 miles away led us to him with someone having noticed a neighbour/ friend had recently got a new dog, same description. They called up and we believe the offer of a reward helped massively in stimulating this. We went round to the address and there the my little man was!

I hope that my story and experience gives other dog owners hope as i had been looking at the reunited dogs and many had been gone for only a few hours and it just felt like the trail was going colder and colder...

The few things i feel really helped that i would really encourage others to do would be to put large posters with 'substantial reward' on roundabouts and main roads within 15 miles of where the dog was lost. Also flyers etc to 'take away' in garages. Also big oposters on all school gates as i believe a lot of people finding dogs keep them for their kids' sake. Other parents/ kids may pick up on this and may be that vital lead you need.

I would also say that trust your instincts on what your dog has done - this gready lab would never have left that picnic area so we worked a lot on the basis that we had to get a message to someone who had taken him; but of course i spent every evening combing the forest in the dark with his whistle, just incase!

The one thing that will be a lovely memory about this experience is how impressed i have been with DogLost, namely Helen & Jayne who were there in an instant when i needed you, offering the best advice and support anyone could wish for. You guys should be the official dog wardens and reporting channel! But also to peole who posted encouraging comments and the 894 views of this page that i have had to date. It is very overwhelming. And also to the community; walking around with Pursey today was great with everyone being so pleased that he had been found and so many messages of 'good luck' and 'so pleased you found him'.

I hope my experience gives others who have lost their dogs hope. I will forever be in debt to DogsLost for helping me and supporting me through getting my best mate Pursey back and i hope to be able to help others in future get their dogs back too.

THANK YOU ALL ONCE AGAIN FROM THE HEART

Posters are up all round the woodland area, been out on quad round the woods to try to find Pursey all evening, hoping he was out there. Now leafleting all dogwalkers cars round the area and putting posters up further afield in Thetford, Brandon, Swaffham & Watton. Called all vets, wardens, rehoming centers... trying everything we can but nothing yet. Word seems to be getting around but still plenty to do. Come home Pursey XXX

Have spoken to the owner and Pursey escaped from the garden and was last seen at Lynford Water picnic area/ carpark at 10.30am on Saturday 2nd July. It is a very rural area and the owner feels sure that if he was still in the area that he would have made his way home. Dg wardens were notified over the weekend and they will be notified again today. Posters are up in the area and farmers/ gamekeepers have all been made aware. I will E-mail general information including contact numbers for vets in Norfolk and Suffolk. Stay safe Pursey until you are found xxx
