- Yipeeee! well done finder and owner, poor INCA was so scared but lets hope her life begins now.
Yes flaggbag is right such a shame when a rescue dog goes into a new home or foster only to be so scared that they run off as soon as , lesson could be learnt and I am sure newy his foster will be only to happy to pass this on and maybe help prevent another dog go missing in this way.
Welcome back Inca xxxLast edited: 2011-07-14 16:48:59 by Reynard - 2011-07-14 00:31 zen
- i always find it so sad when dogs are being transported from rescue, or to foster are lost, this happens far to often i hope lessons will be learnt

- well i was out walking first thing with Widget and hubby called as we had a sighting right over the other side of the next village near the river, went over as far as the car could get us ( i was not in the 4x4 my little car has been battered underneath lol) i went off walking and he went off driving i got a call from my daughter told her to call her dad as i was in a field somewhere!!! about an hour later the lady i had seen walking the other side of the river came looking for me shouting as she had found her, poor Inca had hidden herself in some brambles and these were high brambles i managed to get her and hubby then caught up and pulled her out, apart from being tired and thin she is well. They have been sleeping together and had turkey for there dinner so they are happy, we are so relieved and exhausted but we have her so now we can sleep, dinner is being cooked the wine has been opened and then a nice hot bath and bed for all of us. Want to say thanks for the help that we received from Dogs Lost Helen you are a star xxxx

- INCA IS HOME!!!! Just had a call to say she is home and sleeping off her adventure laying next to her daughter Widget.
Inca had been seen quite a few times today and eventually got caught up in some brambles so Liz and her husband managed to catch her.

- Inca has been seen today and has taken some of the food that has been left for so at least she is staying in the area. I have given the owners some contact numbers of people that may be able to help with a trap.

- No sightings yet today but I have e-mailed the owner scenting guidelines, although this will have to be adapted for Inca because she will not recognised the owner's scent. The owner's are taking Inca's daughter out with them when they search so hopefully Inca will pick up on her and stay in the same area.
- 2011-07-08 22:36 muns
- Glad there have been sightings. Hope the owners see her soon....

- Inca has been seen twice today on land adjacent Beeches Farm, Church Road, Buxton. Owners have been out to the area but have yet to see her. The farmer has given them permission to seach his fields in the hope she is still in the area.
Come on Inca, sweetheart it's time you were home xxx - 2011-07-08 13:15 Helen - Regional Co-ordinator - Norfolk, Suffolk and Cambridge
- There was a sighting of Inca last night at about 11.30 in the area where the food and bedding has been put down. This was called in while I was on the phone to the owner so she has gone straight down to the area now. I will update more when I have spoken to her later today
- 2011-07-08 09:42 Helen - Regional Co-ordinator - Norfolk, Suffolk and Cambridge
- Owner's were out until late last night searching the area, they have left food and bedding in an out building where Inca was last seen in the hope she will stay in the area. Posters and flyers will go up in the area today.
If anybody needs posters/flyers please E-mail me at c.jermy@tiscali.co.uk.
Stay safe Inca until you are found xxx - 2011-07-07 20:50 Helen - Regional Co-ordinator - Norfolk, Suffolk and Cambridge

- The rescue had only just collected the dog when it slipped its lead...they were told by previous owner that the dog was chipped before they took the dog on...so rescue have e mailed original owner for more details...Inca had only been with new owner who surrended the dog to them for 6 weeks...they surrendered her along with her 3 year old puppy so at least they have the dog to entice her in. Posters need to be put up and details shared on facebook etc to locals in the area to get those all important sightings in so rescue can take other dog out to the area....so please use the above share buttons now...thanks.
