Email from owner: "He was found in Barripper, about a mile away, apparently he followed a horse and then was taken in by some woman who didnt know what to do with him (!). A man in the village had spotted him earlier and when he went on facebook later in the evening he saw my facebook campaign! He phoned my husband and we were all reunited! Not a moment too soon, my boys were distraught and wouldnt go to bed. Its lovely to have him home. I have absolutely no idea how he got out, I think someone let him out and perhaps as you say as he wasnt 'in tact' let him go. Thank you for your help and advise, glad Im not going on a massive poster mission today!"

Just heard from the owner - Monty has indeed been found. What a relief for all concerned! No further details as yet, but have requested further information as we are all longing to know what happened.

I've heard off a friend of owner that Monty has been found , not sure of details , maybe someone could phone owner to confirm this is true- hope it is !

Poater locations Leedstown. on telegraph pole down carsize lane (horses and village dog walkers) 1 on inside of Telephone box facing out. 1 on Mens Institute window centre of village 1 on dog poo bin junction of Reawla road and Leedstown to Hayle road. latter 2 are not waterproof. Zim

Have private messaged owner of Trefewha Farm Equestrian services to hopefully get a poster up there. Going down village soon with a couple of posters and will try and get down post office in the morning with another one.

Hi,
I spoke to owner too, aparently although no tag the dog was wearing a red collar. NAWT knows about him. Advised to try and let local stables know and get posters up. A poster gone off toSandsifter as popular place for visitors and surfers. Zim

I have spoken to Monty's owner, and sent advice and information via email. It looks highly likely that Monty was stolen overnight, and the owner suspects they were being watched last evening when Monty was out with them. A public footpath runs next to the house, and many people see Monty and admire him. Owner has informed the police and has a crime number. The local paper is going to run a feature to highlight this case, as the young children are distraught. There are no recent pictures of Monty, but I have asked the owner to use whatever she has, making it clear when the pic was taken.

Just rang owner (17:55hrs on Sunday). Monty's been missing since early hours & may have headed off in direction of Praze. V rural community so please keep an eye out along the country lanes. May be hiding in one of the fields.

Hi, just received notification. I also live nearby but opposite direction to 'Zim' so will pop out & take a look. I have a chocolate lab myself so hopefully one may draw out the other. Good luck, keep positive, there's alot of friendly dog lovers around this neighbourhood so fingers crossed Monty will be home soon.

OK, on to this one any clue as to circumstances, I'm not far away. Will get poster ready for Sandsifter Gwithian as owner calling later. put on Facebook and will e-mail around. Will get a couple of posters up in Leedstown later. Did it escape from house or was it out walking?
