- Sooooo happy we could help Jodie and thankful she made us aware of the 'Golden Oldies' plight. Hopefully the first of many (if we have any say in the matter!!)

- Beanie245 thank you so much for the text message earlier it really made my day - just got in from Mother in Laws Birthday party.
I am so pleased that JODIE is now home safe with her owners, once again shows just how DogLost works & why we get so many great results - we work as a team even when often we have never met each other, Houndie for postering the immediate area, Beanie245 for the fantastic offer of a foster home unconditional on how long it would take to find owners and the Forest Lodge who were kind and compassionate enough to allow her to go to foster home - one big team helping Jodie & her owners
JUST BRILLIANT XX - 2011-07-16 23:00 Majorjet (Jan) - Area Co-ordinator - Liverpool/Merseyside, North West

- Amazing news... Dolly Peg real name Jodie(15yrs) Is now reunited with her owner's along with her own daughter!!!
An elderly couple who had no computer etc... had been searching for her and saw our poster in the local shop, it was tears all round when we took her home complete with collar I.D tag and ear drops... in true labrador style her tail was wagging profusely, she even managed to find a spring in her step....such a happy ending.
We only had Jodie a few days but she has given us the reward of an amazing highlight during the distress of searching for our Tucker. I explained to her owners (Chris and Margaret) that if it had not been for Angus we would have not known of Jodie's plight, BIG thank you to Houndie for pointing us in the right direction for posters as lived just around the corner and we just knew that she could not have wondered too far ...they are so very, very grateful :-)
Champagne shower's all round... I thoroughly recommend rescuing an Oldie... when we left, Jodie even gave us a lick goodbye.. PRICELESS!!! Last edited: 2011-07-16 21:31:26 by Beanie245 - 2011-07-16 19:20 Ellie
- Just to add Beanie245 you are amazing, well done looking after this girlie. I hope she soon finds her special person.

- Beanie, it's wonderful to know that this old girlie is safe with you now and that she's improving now that she's in a home environment. I hope you manage to trace her owner.

- We can confirm that she was picked up by the dog warden after a call from a finder on Saturday 9th July on Northfields Avenue, Kettering (NN16) I do not think at her age she would have wondered too Far. Have postered the area inc Asda store, clubs, shops etc. Spoke to quite a few people one man said he thought he had seen her being walked by a man in the the Charles St Area, off Rockingham Rd.. have postered the park nearby. She is brighter by the day and loves to eat anything rather than tinned dog food... a lady who knows what she likes and such a sweetie... although she seems to be missing her owner so please get in touch!!!

- What a lovely person you are Beanie245, at least the old girl is in safe hands. I do hope you are reunited with Tucker soon. xx

- I second that Angus, I hope your very kind gesture is rewarded with the safe return of your lovely boy Tucker, I will share Tuckers details on Facebook for you daily. Thank you again Beanie245 x

- Beanie245, Thank you so much for taking her into your care - I do hope that her owners can be found but I will sleep better knowing that she is in your care and warm and loved at this point xxx

- This Golden Oldie is now being fostered by beanie245(Tucker's Mum) as her time in kennels was coming to an end, she is a total sweetie. We have been told that she was picked up in the Kettering (NN14) area which is not far from us, will contact dog warden for location and poster/house call etc.(any help appreciated?? As Tucker search still very much active) She is much brighter now and certainly acts as if she has somewhere else she needs to be...maybe her owner is not so computer savvy etc. and missing her dearly, just as we are with Tucker so will make every endeavor to re-unite them...if not she will be well looked after here just as she deserves!! (a check up planned for tomorrow.. but have concluded she is deaf poor old dear!!) Any News from owner's please forward to Angus who will contact us.

- Houndie - if you are in the area - can you please pop a couple of found posters up for her ? I don't get to see the paperwork of the dogs on arrival but I would imagine it is the same dog - she arrived at around 3.30 to the kennels
- 2011-07-12 09:43 Houndie
- I think I saw this dog yesterday in Cowper St, Kettering. Was this where she was picked up? This is very near to the football ground. When I went back I couldnt see her, I live in the area and she doesn't look familiar but I cant imagine she has gone far.
