I am so sorry. My heart goes out to Jacana's owners. Such a terrible thing to happen, but she was happy and loved when she went to heaven, and it is so better to know where she is than to always be wondering. God bless you Jacana, lovely girl. Safe and sound in God's arms till you meet your family again, never to be parted anymore. x

Its is with great sadness i have to advise everyone that the body of Jacana has been found.
Sadly Jacana was found close to where she went missing after chasing a deer. owner thinks she either got injured maybe by the deer or fell or had a heart attack as they had searched and called her name very close to where found .
sad ending but owner says for her it is closure and will not have to go to sleep each night wondering who might have her.

Sophie really wanted to personally ring helpers that had been so kind during the search but if she has not been able to let everyone know we have switched her over to rainbow bridge.

Sleep tight Jacana and safely chase all the deer at rainbow bridge.
Sophie i am so sorry that this was the outcome.

Thank you for the lead. I have called Animal Wardens. This dog has been reunited with its owner so sadly isn't Jacana. Please, Please, please keep looking everyone. She must be somewhere.

Hi there was a lurcher found on 14th in west malling me19. Its on the animal warden website, doesnt give what sex it is tel no is 0845 241 7253. the ref is 240230 its worth a call.

also spoke to some volunteers who are working in the woods
and around the rocks,who said they also will keep a look out. Hoping that someone might have spotted her.good luck

We have put posters up at the station, the local pub etc. I am driving around this afternoon to put a whole load more posters up in Crowborough, Groombridge, Tunbridge Wells and will also make sure I get to all pet shops/pet food suppliers in the area.

Eridge station is roughly half way between tunbridge wells and crowborough follows the A26.

OK... I'm going to put her forward for inclusion in the next Countryman's Weekly. I'm not really sure where Eridge is but are you near any traveller sites? Also - much as I hate to suggest this - have you tried the railway in case she strayed on the line?
