message from owner...

Dear Jayne,

Just to say thank you so much for helping us find Stella. The help and support we received was overwhelming and I am sure that everybody's joint effort resulted in Stella being returned. Stella had been stolen so hopefully these people will realise that they wont get away with these cruel acts in the future.

also owner rang this morning to say she was sure the posters made her too hot to handle...an article went out in the local paper on Saturday...after she was returned and they are going to do a follow up mentioning the great work the doglost helpers did and she is sure without you she would never have got Stella back.

Yes Stella is home !!! Her very happy owners just called me to confirm they got her back this evening following a call from someone who had seen the posters. She had wandered into their yard but was minus her tags by then so it looks as though she may have been taken and then dumped. So pleased she is back home !!!! welcome home Stella and please stay safe from now on xx

HI, so sorry to hear of this, we will put a poster in Hooves Equestrian at Birkenshaw for you. We had our own dog stolen last November, the advice we had was to make her so high profile she would be recognized if out being walked. We put up 800 posters in Bradford and Leeds (try postering Thornbury area shops etc.) our poster was seen there and we did get her back, it took 2 weeks of hard work and plenty of hoax calls but was worth it. Police were helpful with us. Try get it into Telegraph & Argus and Yorkshire post, it will then be picked up into the free papers. Good Luck

Have spoken to owners who have sent a photo into us which will hopefuly be on Stellas page ASAP. Stella vanished from her owners land and a witness has come forward from to say that at the time she disappeared they saw 3 WHITE YOUTHS in a BLACK VAUXHALL ASTRA driving away from the area very quickly. Stella has a VERY DISTINCT UNDERSHOT JAW and was bought for the owners young daughter who is very upset and the family are desperate to get their much loved pet back. Owners have the numbers for all the local stray kennels and I have advised they try to visit them in person. Hoping to see Stella back home again very soon xx Last edited: 2011-07-22 11:14:56 by Jumanji - Co-ordinator.South.Yorkshire
