She is in the Pound the poundies go on here in case there is an owner looking for them , no owner has come forward for her to-date :( so she will need to be found a home or rescue place at the end of her 7 days.

I add her assessment info in case anyone is interested in her .

Thanks x

Does that mean she has found a home, or is being fostered? Please let us know if there is a fear of her being PTS. Looking at the tail-set, she does look a bit like a Rhodesian Ridgeback, and the colour and the fact that her fur looks wheaten also points to this breed.

Have added to Facebook Rhodesian Ridgeback lost and found UK, as she could be an RR.

How big is she ? could be a liver nosed Rhodesian Ridgeback without a ridge ( yes a few are born without !) RRs are usually between 24" and 26", but could be smaller.

NB: All the latest batch (todate 14/07/11) of Poundies have gone off to Rescue or have been rehomed, which is great! :)

She is a very pretty girl about 10-12 months old and believed to be a Staff x Vizla. We have no history on her so can only go on what we've seen in the pound. She is very friendly and loves people, has met men, women and a child of about 9. She's also met a female staff (through bars) and an older male setter (face to face) with no problems. We don't think she has been in the best care - has a slight touch of what may be mange which has been treated with Advocate and some old scars.

She is very relaxed in different situations, pulls on the lead but is not strong - just goes to the end of it and enjoys hanging out with the kennel staff whilst they do their jobs!

She was very scared when she came into the pound but has settled now. She has barked at a couple of people when they rushed up to her whilst walking but if they are told to ignore her she is very quickly climbing into laps and having cuddles. When she did bark it was unsure rather than aggressive, she was wiggling her body desperate to say hello but was a bit apprehensive if they were being too full on. This was towards people that came over quickly and leant right over her - when told better way to approach a dog or with other people she was fine. We have no concerns with her temperament but would be looking for a home with someone sensible that understands she has been through the mill and will continue her socialisation. Lots of other pics available if required!

We would not rehome her with young children due to the lack of history or with cats - we may consider another dog if they can meet a few times. We are of course looking for a rescue place as well as a home direct if no owner comes forward to claim her". Her 7days will be approx 25th!Last edited: 2011-07-21 16:49:49 by Reynard
