- Oh, gutted that it is not Ted, poor owners.

- Thanks everyone! It was the neighbour of the owners that posted this page but with help from DebsGSD I have now spoken to Ted's owner who has never given up trying to find him. I have seen more photos of Ted now and unfortunately the dog found in E Sussex is not him as it's clear from them that some of the markings are different. Such a shame but well worth following up as stranger things have happened. I will, however, not be forgetting Ted and will be looking at all the collies that look remotely like him! Ted's owner was very understanding although obviously disappointed and he will always be looking for his lad.
I have updated the owners tel number on here.Last edited: 2014-08-13 10:41:46 by Clarkey - Area Co-ordinator, East Sussex - 2014-08-13 09:20 SpringerMad - Area Volunteer, East Sussex
- This is real 'edge of my seat' stuff! Keeping all crossed that it is him and he'll be back with his family soon.

- Actually just noticed that the person who put this on here originally was a neighbour. Wonder if the neighbour still lives there and has forwarding address? Perhaps it would be worth contacting the above number again and seeing if they have a neighbour called Julie?
- 2014-08-12 21:55 SpringerMad - Area Volunteer, East Sussex
- Wondering if the dog was found quite quickly after the time he went missing, and they have all moved down south, and lost the dog again? Only thinking this because the owner only posted for 3 weeks and possibly didn't update the page?

- Sorry but I do not have any records of this person other than the contact numbers listed.

- Do you think Alison the area co-ordinator for Lincolnshire (below) may have records. I know it was a long time ago but she received the photo to her mobile which meant perhaps it was sent from a mobile? Long shot I know x

- I am wondering if a facebook campaign with the photo of the chap above asking if anyone recognises him would help the search? It is fortunate that we have the pic of him on this site even if there is no surname.

- This is a terrible situation.
Would be lovely to find the owners.
Might help if there was a surname - 2014-08-12 12:39 Clarkey - Area Co-ordinator, East Sussex
- Not having any luck .. tel number is answered by someone who has been at the address for 2 years and has no forwarding details for the previous occupant. No reply to my emails either :(
- 2014-08-11 09:09 SpringerMad - Area Volunteer, East Sussex
- All crossed here, wouldn't that be amazing!

- Sorry to see that TED is missing.
- If your dog is microchipped please let the microchip company know that your dog is missing and check that all details are up to date.
- Owners targeted by a malicious hoaxer demanding money for the return of their dog should phone the police on 101 immediately and contact admin@doglost.co.uk
- A photograph of your dog is essential for the website. If you have not already uploaded one, please do so by clicking on Update details. Alternatively you can email it to admin@doglost.co.uk quoting the dog's DogLost ID number: (31305)
- Obtain a missing poster by clicking on View poster above. Posters are very important so start postering now!
- You will need to be logged in to upload photos, edit your dog's details, or add comments. You can add comments by clicking on Click here to add a comment.
- Contact dog wardens, vets and local rescue centres, and in Scotland, the Police. Give a detailed description with any distinguishing marks/scars or send them a copy of your DogLost poster. You can find vets in your area here.
- If your dog has been stolen inform the police immediately and obtain a crime reference number (CRN). Send an email to stolen@doglost.co.uk.
- If your dog is picked up and taken to rescue kennels, it can be legally re-homed after seven days. Visit rescue centres in person and do not rely on checking by phone alone. Other people may not recognise your dog by your description, so give them a DogLost poster.
- Keep us updated by keeping your dog's page up to date and check for posts from helpers who may have suggestions and possible matches or sightings
- DogLost is free and anyone asking for money to find or return your dog is not volunteering for us. If you are concerned about an approach you have received, please email admin@doglost.co.uk
