Just wish we knew where they were trapped Phebe , It must have been close to the sawmills certainly Beetle in the state he was in, would not have made it too far as he was colllapsed

I have had a text this morning to say that Beetle is eating well and starting to make a good recovery.

Update . Beetle has been allowed home from the vets . His organs are functioning OK but he is emaciated and has very poorly ulcerated eyes.His owner said he looks like an RSPCA case! Really shocking were her words. He will be OK but it will take time . Its so wonderful he made it to safety , brave boy XX

Its just the bestest news!! Owner just called in to tell me on the way from taking Beetle to the vets. The brave boy made his way to the Sawmills in Hailey wood where he was found. He is in quite a bad way, very badly malnoiurished and can hardly stand. He will be staying in the vets tonight. I will update later when I know more. Come on Beetle, youve survived 17 days you are safe now , you can do it XXXXX

Ive amended to show Beeteles name only. Marmite is home this morning 17 days after going missing. She is clean clearly not been underground. In good shape really , just very thin and a little dehydrated. Owners feel they must have been caught somewhere locla.They are going door to door with flyers now, asking people to look for Beetle,to check all outbuildings on their properties, or ANYWHERE A LITTLE DOG COULD BE STUCK . Important to check buildings where people on holiday sheds etc, or schools etc.

Marmite has just turned up thin and dehydrated at owners house...does not look as though Marmite had gone to ground. Beetle is still missing.

Could try postering Avening too as the McMillan way passes close by and our terrier was found there a few months ago after following some walkers. Keeping are eyes open in Rodmarton/cherrington.
